As we have now twice began a raw journey, and I am ashamed to say have now twice let our hectic lives get in the way I think my fur kids will be stuck with their beloved kibble a little longer.
Right now we have been feeding CORE WELLNESS kitten food, but I am wanting to switch to a ferret epigen 90 diet. Has anyone had any experience with this diet? Do you recommend it? I am wanting to soak it a little so it's not as abrasive on their little tiny teeth. I know it's 'starch free' and thats all I am truly looking for in a ferret diet.(An elusive concept.)
(I should mention eventually we will be switching to raw, probably in the fall when I am done with school for good and can be home for a larger portion of the day with the babies.)

The Wysong Epigen 90 use to be the only kibble the forum recommended. Then they changed their formula and ferrents began reporting diarrhea. FDR might be a good choice for you. It's expensive but it is raw. Wysong makes an FDR called Archetypal 1. I'll link our page about kibble for you at the bottom. FDR can be a good transition but as I said it can be expensive. Grinds are another good option. I'll link that also. You can look into FDR like Stella and Chewy's for feline. Mine did not like the frozen patties but loved duck, duck, goose and tummy ticklin turkey plus there are other products like Fresh is best and Whole life available on Amazon. holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/125/kibble-fed?page=6holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/17099/commercial-grinds

Thank you so much! We had a nasty go with diarrhea a couple months back (coccidiosis) and that would have given me quite a fright. I'll look into that! We are able to spend right around 150-200 a month on their diet so I am hoping this will be the best possible option for us.
