How thick is your soup consistency? (thick paste, softer, liquid) Its okay to stick with one or two proteins while youre still on soup I hope you get to feeling better

Thanks. The soupie is very thick... It's almost like a grind rather than a soup. It holds its shape when thawed and Leo just takes bits off to eat them xx

Yay! I'm glad he is eating them. I'm glad he took to the slivers. Lets hope pork is okay for his tummy. If everything looks normal for the first few days, start upping those slivers so we can get him on chunks and move onto bone. Would you be able to source organs from lamb or pork? Or pick up some supplements? He's not in any danger yet but I want to make sure he is getting his full nutrients. Oh and I'm back! :wave3:

Hey welcome back! How'd it go?
I've got lamb kidneys, livers and hearts. Pork I can get too but I've just been giving him little slivers of muscle meat. Haven't gotten to upping the size yet as he's being very on and off about them. But his poops look good so far xx

That's good. Definitely give him some time to get used to the pork before upping the sizes. I'm glad you were able to source the hearts and organs.
The job was kind of a bust, we got a lot done but we didn't find anything. I'm an archaeologist. But I might have another job coming up. Don't worry, I won't be taking any more time off the forum. Too much free time in the field isn't a good thing.

Aww that's a shame but so cool. I wanted to be an archaeologists when I was little. I don't know what happened! Glad you're back. Don't feel tied down here though haha xx

Haha, nah! I just wanted to make sure I could mentor well and do my job at the same time. It's very possible. There is plenty of down time. If you want to make things easier for you, you can make a soup or blend (small chunks or slivers is fine) of organs and hearts out of the lamb organs. Then while we move him from protein to protein and start upping the sizes of his chunks, you can feed him three meals of the mix a week. Half of the mix should be heart, 1/4 liver and the rest another organ. This way he continues to get his organs of a known good protein and since the protein trial might take a while we want him to be getting all his good stuff. Feel free to add a little dash of bone meal powder to help firm up his stools from the organ meals.

Leo's energy levels have dropped quite a bit today. I'm not entirely sure why but if it carries on I might take him to the vet just to be sure he's ok xx

That makes sense. They are super sensitive to that stuff. I'm glad he is doing well tummywise
What protein is he on now? Still pork?
