Yes, this weekend will b good. no black tarry stools----brown just a little loose --probably need to up bone meal doing 1/2 teaspoon to 8 ounces. Just cut up some pheasant --lets try that.
Do u ever do a second thaw. For example, i cut on pheasant and got kind of weary several days ago with all the cutting and put remaining bird in freezer. This morn i thawed it and cut up remaining bird.
Maybe i should cut bird in half after thaw from store and immediately put the other hallf in freezer instead of cutting on it for a while then putting it in freezer
i dont know if it matters.

Ya know, I have done it before. I think it is a no-no for human consumption because it will cook weird, but I will ask o double check. Its better than leaving in fridge!

Annabelle pooh is good this morn. Going to make abbey eat same thing because abbey hoards and Annabelle will find it. Will separate at night to make sure whose pooh belongs to the right one.

I think this is a a poopy from pure pheasant skin, which i let the babies go in the tub and sniff the leftover pheasant skin. Both girls stole a piece. Annabelle ate hers right on spot--i guess she was tired of lamb. and Abbey ran off with hers.

This almost looks like vomit to me?? Maybe Pheasant will not as well as thought. Only time will tell. Whenever your ready, add just 1/4 or so of the new protein to her meal and work up up over 3-4 meals to ALL new protein and feed that for a few meals. Take careful notes (here or elsewhere) about her poops, activity levels, and what was fed.

oh, so i need to add soupie pheasant or chunks of pheasant to lamb soupie?
Going to have to back up-----been giving her pheasant without lamb----
Start over tomorrow----with lamb with pheasant piece
well, this is anna on pure pheasant over night --from 2 potties----
she stepped in very top one , so i found a different potty pooh.
Should we continue on pheasant without lamb, since it looks safe thus far?
(it is dryish--maybe a little more muscle added to boney)

Looks okay. Maybe tiny bit too dry. And it could take a bit for a problem to appear. A few meals I mean. The fact that she was given only pheasant you can continue that for a few meals. The reason we do it slowly by mixing proteins is to decide if she can tolerate small amount at least. Also why it's important to keep a disturbing how she's doing. For example. If you mix lamb and chicken and she does okay for a couple meals with small amounts and then all the sudden you get to the full meal of chicken and she gets sick it concludes that she can tolerate a meal or so a week maybe, but more amounts not so much. This is just an example and may change as she eats more, but it's a place to start.

Also you asked if you have lamb soup do you need to mix it with XXX soup. You can, but she's eating large enough chunks that it should be fine. The main thing is we want her to eat a good mixture of it. Ferrets are lazy and will eat the soup before the chunks so she may eat the lamp soup then MAYBE the XXX chunks.

ok. So we will continue giving pheasant, and when we switch to another protein like pork we will use lamb chunks and pork?

Exactly. Once she's eating phrasing for a few meals and you are sure she's fine on it then put her back on lamb for 1-2 meals and then slowly add in the pork. If she does have a sensitivity to something then you will go back to the lamb until her pops are good again. It's kind of a control to settle her tummy
