Cute Pictures!
Is your area getting over the big storm? Are things getting back to normal?

Thanks! They were so funny this morning.
Things are slowly going back to normal for the area that were hit hard. My particular areas was fine most of the time. Interesting point on that question, I found out this afternoon that Wegmans ( a local store chain in case your not familiar with it. I think they are more common up here,) is struggling right with keeping certain items stocked because shipments were delayed due to the store. The manager I saw this morning said they expect more product soon, but their trucks are going to the stores in the areas that were hit worse before they come to my area.

That makes sense. It's nice to know that common sense is being used and not profit driven sense. We went into a Wegman's this summer. It's a very nice store and reminds me of Whole Foods. The prices were really high compared to my area. My Sister in law who lives in New Jersey and my other Sister in Law who lives in Pennsylvania found the prices to be comparable. I was looking at the artichokes and this lovely older lady came over and spent twenty minutes telling me how to cook artichokes. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I already knew and was just enjoying seeing them. We don't see many here in Tennessee and I love love love artichokes. I didn't want to cook them for twenty people in the vacation house though.

Lol its nice to know that common sense is applied, even if its just occasional.
I have heard that Wegmans is like Whole Foods, but I've never been there. I personally love Wegmans even if it a little more expensive than other store chains. They generally have good product and are great to their employees.
I love artichokes. I've baked them whole before and sauteed the hearts for sauces. Yum yum, although they are a pain to break down.
I definitely would not want to cook them for that many people!

The fuzzbutts enjoyed their lamb tongue treat yesterday! They ate about 2/3 of what I gave them with no additional encouragement. (dance)

Well, I'm back in business. I took my computer in to get fixed and the tech took one look at it and powered it up. He looked at me and I thought, Oh Geez... Maybe it got bumped around on the car ride and fixed itself. Who knows? but no repair bill. yeah (dance)
I hope your holiday was fun. The boys liked their tongue? That's fantastic. Pop Quiz question...what can tongue be used as a substitute for?
When you get a chance, would you post a menu? Even if it's the same one, it's still good practice. How are their weights/poops and energy levels. How is Loki doing with bone?
Happy Monday :wave2:

I'm so glad that your computer is up and running! I have that happen to me as well. Grrr at technology. I wasn't well this weekend, but thanksgiving went really well. I'll be honest I don't know. I assume tongue is a muscle meat, but other than that, no clue. I do know red meat has important vitamins and minerals they need, including taurine. Activity levels have been great especially since they have returned to their normal routine. Liam has been kicking the crude out of Loki (in a good way). Lol He definitely is more confident now. They both gained maybe another ounce each. Loki is 3 lbs, 4-5 ounces. Liam is 2lbs 13-14 ounces. Poops are good and regular. I'll post the menu soon. I should have venison organs in a few weeks.

I'm sorry that you didn't feel good, but I'm glad that Thanksgiving went well. Ours was simple and fun. We ate at a restaurant and saw Mockingjay. Not my favorite of the series, but it was good.
Tongue is full of taurine. So, while our menus usually use heart as a source of taurine, tongue can also be used. It actually has more taurine than hearts.
The boys are at a great weight. They sound so healthy and happy.
Would you say both the boys are eating bone well?
Do you feel like you are ready to graduate and handle this on your own? No pressure, I will stay with you as long as you need me. I will also always be here for you.
The boys seem like they are doing so well. You understand what you are doing, have a good menu plan and I think you ready. What do you think?

It was inspiration for me to finally push for an appointment to get my gallbladder removed. So I have a meeting with the doctor I want to do it in two weeks, so hopefully next month I can be on the road to recovery. I've been drinking a little apple cider vinegar in my apple juice and it seems to have helped. That's interesting about the tongue. I didn't know it had more taurine than hearts do. I've been super busy getting settled back in, but the boys have been doing so well. I was given an early Christmas present of outlet shopping for new clothes (well after Black Friday) and the boys have been thoroughly enjoying their new games of playing in all the bags (supervised of course) and checking out my new clothes. I just got home and wasn't able to prepare any food for them, so I stopped at a local store and just grabbed some cuts for them to have until I can prepare something better tomorrow. I put the bag on the floor thinking they might get excited if they were able to inspect their new treats and no... they looked at it for maybe a minute and ran off to crawl all over my clothes pile. (headwall) Specifically they realized they would crawl up the leg of my jeans and emerge on the top of the pile. Now THAT was thrilling. Special steak that the human doesn't even get, forget about it. Lol Liam has also been engaging me in more play. I think they both are. Loki is definitely more of a stasher, were Liam (at least right now) leaves what he doesn't eat. I think I am okay enough to graduate. I am pretty confident in my ability to plan meals and know I can always come back with questions and concerns. Thank you for the reassurance on that front. <3

I'm sorry that you have to have your gallbladder out, but I hope it makes you feel better. I'm always reading that vinegar does amazing things. I've seen whole books about it and all the ways that it can help you. Did your doctor suggest adding it to your apple juice?
Did Liam and Loki climb your jeans while you were in them? Mika often climbs me. She also will climb onto my back and sit there like a billy goat. If I'm bending over to wipe up something or just sitting on the floor playing with them, she scrambles up and hangs out. I can't reach her, so I bend very low or flatten out and just wait for her to get down. She's a funny little thing.
If you're sure that you are ready to graduate and I do think you are, then in the next few days I will post a test. Probably a week from now. Then I will ask you to post a menu and I will send that to Heather. She will approve it and Graduate you. So, let's aim for around the middle of the week, say Wednesday. It's not a timed test or anything, I'll simply post it and you will answer the questions, when you can. Does that sound okay, or do you have any reservations or questions?

I should feel a lot better, in many ways, once my gallbladder is out. My doctor didn't tell me, but I was reading about how good apple cider is. I've tried to drink it straight but will never do that again. Lol it's very potent stuff. But I get some really good apple juice from Wegmans that's almost like an apple cider. 8 ounces of juice to a teaspoon of cider vinegar and you can just barely tell the difference. I do it in the morning and so far, so good. I guess a 1/4 of a cup of cider vinegar will stop an attack in minutes. I haven't tried it yet though.
Liam likes to climb up my jeans while I am still wearing them, but this particular incident happened when they were off of me. I've had Loki crawl on my back like that, but his favorite trick is to jump on my head! He leaps off my bed and lands on me when I'm in my chair next to it. He pounces, jumps down, and immediately war dances away.
That sounds really good. (dances) This is exciting!!

Oh, more snuggles. Loki is loving his Mom. His Whiskers are quite full and pretty. That's a good sign.
