I hope all is well with you. Give the boys a big hug from me. (dance)

Alright, sounds good to me.
Things are well. I recently opened some more of my apartment up to the boys and they have been doing well with it. The other evening when I was doing something, Liam came over and sat his butt right on my foot and looked up at me like "Human, what ARE you doing?" Lol I found some discounted pork neck and the boys devoured it without hesitation. Why do they have to love the hard to find stuff??
I hope everything is well with your crew as well.

That's great to know they will have more room to roam.
I know what you mean about them liking stuff that is hard to find. Every once in awhile, I run across something new, like a fatty cut of beef and they go crazy over it. Then I can't find it again.
All is okay here. Paul caught a bug and then I did, but I'm fine today.
We're still working on integrating Keller and Roamy and Juliet. I had been taking the long slow route, so that she didn't get traumatized. It's been six months and so the other day, I let Roamy and Keller try to work it out. She refused to be submissive and at first, he just pushed her around and gave her the shoulder nudge. Then she grabbed his ear and he sat on her. She squealed and screamed and he took out quite a tuft of hair and scratched her up a bit. It's so hard to watch and I hate her to think that I'm just sitting there and not protecting her.

Lol silly fuzz butts, can't enjoy something easy.
Sorry to hear about the illness. The weather has been bitterly cold here which isn't helping at all. I heard it was as low as -16 below last night in some areas near me. My car said 2 degrees this morning, even when I was leaving at almost 7am. My one worker said her car read zero.
Poor Keller. The first time my mom ferret sat for me she was worried about their rough play and I had to explain it to her. And my boys didn't get that rough with each other. It must be really hard to watch. *hugs*
Is it because Keller is deaf that she is having such a hard time? Or is she just a particularly hard headed fuzzbutt?

I figured that your weather must be really cold. What always struck me, when we traveled north was how grey everything was. In Florida, it never got grey during the winter. It does here and I really like those cold grey days. But, I don't have to go out in it.
I'm not sure what it is with Keller. Since Juliet was so easily accepting of Mika and Wynstan, it took me by surprise to find that Juliet was aggressive with Keller. Maybe it's a natural instinct to go after a handicapped animal. Maybe it's because Keller was a grown female and Mika was a baby or maybe it's Keller squealing. We can't figure it out, but boy am I ready for it to be over and to be able to open my house back up.

@danilutka
I heard back from Heather. This is what she had to say:
Does the turkey, venison. pork and lamb have bone in meals? Her bone meals are a bit light if this isn't the case. She could increase it a bit. You can pound down the bone in the turkey to be more manageable. I've found the rib part easily eaten by the fuzzies. Pork button bones can be consumed, especially if they're eating the thigh bones with the chicken. Lamb also has some good bone in meats. I found goat was better as a boneless but you might be able to break down the bones. This might also give her better opportunity to change out the chicken with some of these meats. Sometimes I can get quail sometimes not, so I can understand her frustration. How are her guys stools on this much bone in meats? I would say it's probably good to go, my concern is the amount of chicken and she's just on the edge for enough of bone in meats. Just curious. Other than that it's looking good. Just a couple of questions and we can graduate your mentee ciao
If you can just address the couple of questions, we can be good to go. :thankyou: Stef

I give them bone in pork but they are often reluctant to eat it. They recently ate that pork neck, which they really liked. Turkey is always ground because there is literally one type they will eat. I have tried two other types of turkey and they have turned their spoiled little noses up on it. I am hoping to get a variety of organ and bone in when it comes to the venison and lamb. So I can definitely add more bone in meals. The boys stool is good over all, a little loose sometimes, like when they get their organ meals. I am hoping to look into some bone meal to supplement when they decide the only thing they want is chicken. Lol I haven't been able to find pork button bones or quail in my area, but I will keep looking for sure. The only goat I can find is already cut into chunks. It has bone with it, but I haven't tried to give it to them since I wasn't sure if their could chew through it or not.

Great. I'm going to forward your reply to Heather. As for the goat, they probably won't handle the bones. Bones are the Non Weight bearing bones of an animal the size of a chicken or smaller. A goat is going to be much bigger than a chicken, so goat will be muscle meat.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from Heather.
It's the weekend and I hope it's a great one for you and the boys.

Congratulations :boing: You've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone, now . You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives. Please try not to rely too heavily on chicken and always be on the lookout for different proteins that can be used to enhance your little ones' diet. I would like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Good luck, in a few days Sherry will lock down this thread and place it in the archives but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly :goodjob: :wave3:
