I have noticed for a while now that my 2 year old male ferret, Moe, has had a "fat neck" . This began when he gained his winter weight, which he still has not lost ( i believe he has his seasons switched). He has been to the vet for a check up a few months back, and the vet didn't say anything. His neck is just a little fat and i wanted to make sure there is no other issue at hand, other than him being a chubbutt. His neck doesn't feel any different... kinda just feels like fat i guess.
Please let me know what are signs of an enlarged lymph node.
He also has never acted any different than usual, hence me not rushing him back to the vet... I just wanted to make sure.
Thank you!

Thank you for the link. I read the entire page. when i touch his neck i don't even really feel anything... hes just chubby. So i assume hes ok. What would an enlarged lymph node feel like?

They'd feel like a little marble or pea, firm.

soft and squishy = normal range. hard like a marble = not good.

they get fat pads so that is what you may be feeling.
