Is the mouse alive? You want a quick clean kill. I know most people will put the mouse in the tub. Good Luck and let me know how it goes. You don't want to try a rat, they can hurt a ferret.
I posted on the Mentors board about her vulva. Everyone has said, that the swelling goes down, pretty quickly. From her pictures, I think you are seeing results now, and she is looking much better.
Did Evanna play in her rice box, anymore?

It's alive O.O so if she doesn't go for the kill then I'm going to do it myself. She also ate a pinkie earlier. I had to stuff it in her mouth and then she ate it alright. Oh an I found Turkey wings!! I didn't expect them to be so big The vet said the implant takes 8 weeks or so to start working. It's been about that so I'm glad their was an improvement. She's also shedding A LOT haha it just started yesterday. I have white hair all over myself. Will she start eating less since she's going into her summer season?

There is some threads on "Clean Kill". Look under Home, Natural Diet and there is a sub board under the Natural Diet, called Live Feeding. It has alot of good info. Yeah (dance) for the turkey wings. You can always crush them and help her out. They are big, especially for Evanna, so I wouldn't expect her to eat the whole thing. Cut them in half and freeze the other half. You can comb her with the flea comb and help with the shedding. If she tries to groom herself, while she's shedding, she may possibly get fur caught in her throat. Don't panic if you hear her hacking. Just give her a little oil. Its hard to say if she will eat less, she has such a delicate appetite but seems to be enjoying her food. Hopefully, she will continue eating the same. Evanna is such a special little girl. I just Love her and am so glad that she is safe and happy with you.

Okay I can't do it O.O I wussed out. So I think I'll buy a frozen one first. Baby steps haha. I gave her Turkey gizzard yesterday and she really seemed to enjoy it! I'm glad you think so much of Evanna she's pretty awesome! Should I start mixing a tiny bit if oil in her food as preventative? Or will the weekly egg do the trick?

Yeah, Evanna likes the turkey gizzards! I'm a big fan of gizzards since they are so good for their teeth and help build jaw strength.
Don't give oil every day. 1/2 tsp or so, every 3 days is recommended. Her egg will help. She might not even hack, only my Juliet does. The others who all have fluffier coats, don't every seem to get fur caught in their throats. Maybe Juliet is just more meticulous about grooming. (giggle)
I could't do a mouse either, they are just so darn cute. Paul says he will do it, but hasn't yet. I believe you can buy already dead frozen mice. I haven't looked, but I've heard several people mention it.

I love that she ate a Pinkie. I bought four once, and no one would touch them. I'll be curious to see how she likes the mouse. If she doesn't like it at first, I've read other ferrents will cut it open and dribble oil in the mouse.

The organ soup was a really good idea. Smart girl! You saw it in the poopie, how weird. Have you weighed Evanna lately?

That will probably remain her summer weight. Even after her switch, continue weighing her monthly. It's a good idea to keep track of her weight. If ever, she starts experiencing unusual weight loss, you will have a heads up.
What's she up to, today? Have you seen any fleas?

Sleeping in my bed she's been pretty mellow today. Kinda just napping and eating. I put her in a sink of warm water and just let her soak a bit and I looked her over while she was wet and found one flea >.> I'm thinking that this is just going to be a process. The fleas keep getting smaller so I think that theyre babies?

How did she do with the turkey breast? Did you chop the bones or was she able to munch them?
Unfortunately, getting rid of fleas is a process. Her flea Med should help, now you're just going to have to deal with whatever eggs and fleas have gotten into your house.
