I know. He is the sweetest little thing too I don't understand and i never will. I'm not sure exactly how old he is, i guess we will find out when he goes to the vet though I'm guessing around a year, comparing him to pooka. His teeth are wonderful also, so he is pretty young I'm sure.

He is adorable. Good job taking him in. I am sure he is happy to run around and play.

Did the lump in his stomach go down? You mentioned it was like that when you first brought him home?

I'm so glad you rescued him! I don't know why people are so stupid and don't research how to properly care for the pets they adopt! They probably had impossible expectations for the little guy, expected him to be like a Guinea pig or something...

Thats what I'm guessing. Wayyy too many people think they're rodents. *Face palm
And it did go down. He haas been scarfing down his food since he's been here, and I honestly think he was just hugely constipated. The first 5-6 hours home he didn't potty once, but when he did it was the biggest pile of yuck I've seen. His stomach has shrunk and his poops have been much more ... Er... Attractive?? Since I've had him home

Poor boy! I know when we got neka, he'd been in a flat glass cage , didn't get much time out of cage if at all. The first day here he RAN for like 4 hrs straight!! I thought OMG what did we get ourselves into! LOL He's since slowed down.... a bit!lol Give him extra cuddles from us.

It does sound like it was from his diet. He's likely got some deficiencies that should hopefully clear up with a proper diet as well. Poor wee mite So glad he's finally got a great home, and a new friend. And yes, Pooka is going to obsess about him til Clyde learns how to play They'll be fine. Just cage them separately for a bit til they get used to playing together. They are going to have to tussle it out, then they'll start playing

Glad you rescued him - just keep an eye on them when they play. I have brought home new ferrets and everyone has gotten along. Listen for hissing - usally means leave me alone. Most of mine dook happily - once in awhile someone is a little ruff and a hear a high pitched dook - then I seperate for a few minutes.

Mine hiss as a matter of course ;D But then again, mine will fight, yell, and scream at each other regularly They always curl up again together afterwards. You can tell the difference in the play, believe me. There is a major difference in both the sound and the intensity level. If the new guy is running, hiding, and not coming back out, then it needs to go a bit slower. Otherwise, it should be ok.
