They are supposed to be in the soup. Slowly add more slivers and reduce the amount of soup over time. As you reduce the amount of soup you can thin it out as well.

Hammie 2.8 oz
Koufos 2.45 oz
Cassia 1.6 oz
Monday dinner
Hammie 3.22 oz
Koufos 2.34 oz
Cassia 1.0 oz
Yea I have been putting it in the soup. Now they seem to be eating them. I will increase the amount of slivers. They make the soup pretty thick. Tonight Hammie was gulping them down.

I increased the size of some of the slivers in the soup. This has forced them to have to chew them in half. I noticed that they tend to swallow the small slivers whole and are not chewing them. It seems to me that now Hammie is seeking out the slivers, however he still will not eat the meat unless it is in the soup.
Wednesday am
Hammie 3.82 oz
Cassia 2.23
Koufos 3.01 oz
Wednesday pm
Hammie 2.98 oz
Koufos 3.68 oz
Cassia 1.74 oz

Try making them a little bigger. If they get in the habit of swallowing them whole they could try it with one that is a bit to big and end up choking. They sound like they are ready for you to start making them a bit bigger.

Since they are on soup and some solid meats now, could you break out the weights and indicate what meats they are eating?

you mean how much of the soup is liquid and how much of the soup is meat slivers/chunks?
I so far only fed Duck breast and game hen breast.

Yes, just so I get an idea of how they are progressing on their move from soup to solids and what meats they are willingly eating.

ok starting this morning I have been mixing 2 oz of soup and 2 oz of meat slivers in the soup for each ferret. I am going to keep with the 50/50 until they start eating the slivers by themselves without soup. even though Hammie seeks out the slivers when eating he still will not eat them unless they are in soup.
Today I fed Beef slivers
Friday am
Hammie 1.35 oz
Koufos 1.07 oz
Cassia 1 oz
Friday pm
Hammie 4 oz
Koufos 4 oz

I had just picked up some organic Chicken since my other 3 will not eat store bought chicken, Well looks like if i am going to feed chicken I have to buy organic. They loved it. I was cutting it up when I kept getting scratches at my shins begging for chicken. They kept coming back for more. so this morning after feeding the soup to everyone we put Koufos in the room with the raw feeders cage and 2 min later Koufos is in the cage chewing on a chicken leg. He seemed to get frustrated with the amount of work that it took to get some meat off of it but still he was trying. I tossed a couple of chicken wings into his cage in case he want to try again.
Saturday Am
50/50 soup/beef slivers
Hammie 3.6 oz
Koufos 2.10 oz
Cassia 1.98 oz
Saturday Pm
Hammie 2.9 oz
Koufos 3.33 oz
Cassia 1.6 oz

For larger items, try securing them to the cage with shower hooks. It gives them something to pull against to tear pieces off.

Hammie has decided to be increasingly difficult to feed. It seems I have to keep spoon feeding him to get him to continue to eat. This evening I noticed that he seemed a bit dehydrated so I syringed him some water, about 30 mins later he started eating the soup again.
Sunday am
chicken breast slivers 50/50 mix
Hammie .5 oz
Koufos 3.3 oz
Cassia 2.6 oz
sunday pm
Hammie 2 oz
Koufos 3.6 oz
Cassia 1.25 oz
