Hammie seemed to bounce back and at his full plate tonight. However Now Cassia is starting to become difficult. well hopefully she will be extra hungry tomorrow morning. They are still seeking out the chunks but only when coated with soup. I have thinned the soup and am now just coating the meat chunks in the soup.

Looking good this weekend lets try no soup and all meat slivers. If they are being difficult try hand feeding the slivers to see if they take them better that way.

I always try to hand feed the slivers without soup before I add them to the soup. I still have no takers. I don't think at this point that is going to work. But I can try, if they don't eat plain slivers do I add the soup or do I let them skip a meal and hope they are hungry enough to eat them the next meal?

I'd let them skip a meal. Except for any insulinomic ferrets. I can't remember if Hammie has insulinoma or not.

I think we determined since he has never has any drunk ferret symptoms that he is not. Or at least not showing signs. He did have a fasting BC of 40ish when we had his surgery in January. Since he has been eating raw soup he has more energy and is starting to get into trouble again. So I am hoping it is doing some good.

Ok, I'd say one small meal in the morning then and then skip the following one. That should stimulate their appetites. Keep and eye on Hammie though and and symptoms get some food into him.

Mazv's I need more detail in your daily reports. What meat types and how much soup vs. meat.

sorry I will edit and make the notes. I am still at 50/50 mix of soup to meat ratio,
Although measuring what they leave behind is not precise. I looks like there is just as much soup as there is slivers left. But I cant be sure without picking out all the slivers and weighing them separately from the soup. Not that that would be accurate either since the meat will soak up the soup.
I will make a note in the future if I notice that they seem to eat more soup than slivers or vice versa.
