No taurine is water soluble so they would just pee out any excess. Lung is no fun to cut at all, way too squishy. Foamy is a good description. That's great that they ate it too.

they did, but really small pieces, and in the mince.
they haven't touched their food during the night, and did not eat much in the morning. the weather is changing again, maybe that's the reason, or it's just not their day. i left them their mince in the cage, will watch on it...

They all lost some weight after two days of not eating much, so i gave them their regular mince this morning and they ate enough. I'll give them something else in the evening, maybe i'll try with the liver.. Only Baylis is fine, she's picking her stashed meat and bones. And there is a problem too. Some bones that she eats are so dried. Could it be a problem for her?

Nyx 930g Baylis 765g Oscar 1800g didn't try the liver alone, i just put a little more in their mince. last few days was a horror with their meals, it's more important to play than to eat. they're driving me crazy today is a lamb with the rabbit, again. i know i should put other proteins too, but i'm not sure they would eat anything. i will put some pork in the cage till evening, and for dinner, just to try.

It's not uncommon at all for ferrets to skip eating if it's something they don't like as much. Mine have still been absolutely refusing to touch chicken wings! Arrggghh. Had them in there for well over a day completely untouched. Gave them another cut of chicken and they both immediately went to town. They will play you so you kind of have to figure out how tough you want to be with them.
Can you give me a list of what they will eat and chunk size of it? We may have to focus on instead of trying new things so much, just getting them to eat larger chunks of what they do like. As long as the stashed bones haven't been sitting around for weeks you are probably ok. Mine eat chunks they stashed a few days previous.

they don't skip eating something new, they are skipping even meat they do eat in their everyday mince. they eat: Nyx - rabbit, pork and lamb, brain, liver chunks. all of that only in the mince, not alone. Baylis - almost everything except the liver, she started to eat even chicken gizzards. in the mince, alone, with bones, without them... everything. Oscar - same as Nyx, but he does eat pork chunks alone.
i cut them meat stripes 2mm x 5cm. chunks for Nyx are 2-3mm big, for Oscar about 1cm, and Baylis eat bigger pieces, she eat heart pieces and gizzards cutted on half.
i am prepared to give them some "hard love", but i'm pretty scared for Nyx's and her BG levels.

Hooray! You can start tomorrow, it's always possible to cut it smaller if they don't go for it after a few hours too.

Little by little. If you leave bigger chunks in with her will she eat them?

not really, she spits them out. i'll try to put some bigger pieces in the mince again, here and there she catches one big (not really big, just bigger than before) and eat it, and then she give up and goes away. but she have to learn how to chew or her teeths will be even worse... the vet said they are so transparent when we were cleaning them last time. that's something new, she had great and white teeths before... is it possible it's because of all the medicine she was taking? she was on high doses of medrol (prednisolone) for immunosuppression.

Oscar started to eat little bit bigger pieces, but Nyx is still on the same size. if i put 1mm bigger, she spit it out. i tried to give Baylis chunks of pork kidney, she stashes few pieces and that's it. but she ate during the night one big pork piece (4x5cm), i left it to see would she eat. it was probably enough for her, she didn't eat breakfast, just few licks on the mince, my sweetie pie

I do think meds can affect tooth quality but can't remember specifically. It happens naturally with age anyways. Kidney is fairly nasty tasting so it can be hard to get ferrets to eat it, none of mine will touch it plain, has to be hidden in soup although they will eat whole prey organs fine.

look, the mince didn't help either, and i know it. Nyx - 930g Baylis - 755g Oscar - 1770g the spring is comming, temperatures are higher, and they are all eating less. i'm not so worried as before and that's a good sign. i'm not obsessed with their weight so much
