heading to the vets. Neka is unable to use his front legs, and twitching all over. I"m so scared it reminds me of Trixie before s=we found how she had insolumia and lymphoma.

Please don't cry - you'll make me cry too. Try to relax. How long has he been doing this? When did it start - when did you notice it?

Is it possible that your little one has suffered a fall? How is he doing? Have you managed to get him to the vet? I've rarely seen front down type syndromes. This is unusual, though not unknown. Please keep us posted...we're thinking of you and your little one. A healing candle is lit for Neka. ciao

a fall is unlikely, the boys are on litter boot camp, and just got one shelf back this week. so even if he fell its not high at all. Michelle at the vets said she wont be there till 4 so I'm going for then.

Injuries to the upper spine cause upper extremity weakness. Injuries to lower spine usually cause lower extremity weakness. If he is young, it is possible that he may have injured himself while you weren't home. Shaking can be s sign of pain. If he is older then a stroke is also a possibility. I will pray for your baby neka.

A spinal embolism is indeed possible (seemingly ferrets don't suffer strokes , I think they do and spinal embolism is fancy speach) Then you should open up heart issues too, seemingly these spinal embolisms are often a precursor sign to heart issues. This ferret is just a baby though isn't he. I was just talking with Kerry and never even asked...kick me Anyway, when Mayhem suffered one of these it affected his lower end. Upper end seems to point toward injury, especially along with shaking (pain and or fear). Unfortunately, we can hypothesis all over the place only a vet in this case will or might be able to find an answer ciao

I know. I hope he'll be ok. One of my ferrets had a stroke right in front of me. He had several towards the end (he also had cardiomyopathy). It was so hard to see.
