So... Miya has been kibble free for 2 days! (dance) on Wednesday overnight she ate all of her soupie but like one lick. Yesterday she ate maybe .5 oz while I was away. Last night I fed her after her play time and I just put her in front of her dish and she ate. So Yay! Looks like I'll be adding small slivers this weekend. Good news is she already actually eats small pieces. Sometimes there are pieces almost the size of my pinky nail that didn't puree. And she seems to be eating those.

Thanks! She is coming along nicely. I added a couple small slivers in her dish tonight so I will see in the am how she did with those. But when I came home today she had eaten her food. So she ate just over an oz last night and just over an oz this morning/afternoon. The guessing she is around 2.5 oz a day now. Oh and I tried a quick scruff and stuff of a little piece of chicken and she spit it down my shirt. Lol. She kinda went chew chew spit. So smaller pieces it is.

Update on weight: 1 lb 14.8 oz (essentially the same) Poop: Normal Energy: Very good! So today when I fed Miya I added slivers of beef to see if she would take to that taste. I chopped them to about the size of the cresent on my nail. I weighed the dish with food... fed her and then weighed when she was done eating (just after one sitting I weighed it) and she consumed 1 full oz! In one meal! It did look like some beef chunks were consumed but not all. I didn't add a lot. Maybe a tsp at most. Have tried to feed her little pieces of meat but she continues to spit them out. So I will keep hiding little pieces in her soup

Thanks Sherry! Huge successes all around. I put beef into her food again this morning. She left some chunks but did eat some. So tonight I decided to challenge her. I cut up some chicken wing (just meat) and one chicken heart. I chopped them to the size of half my pinkie nail. I put some chicken and almost the whole heart in her soup, so that the small slivers made up about 1/3 -1/2 of the overall meal. I barely added water. It was quite thick. She was hungry this evening so I offered it with fingers crossed. .. and she ate! I watched her "chew" up the pieces and not spit them out!! (dance) chew is the operative word . Her jaw moves but it's not like she actually chews those small pieces. They just kinda go down. Lol. Tomorrow Am I'm gonna try commercial raw duck. Nice thin consistency and see if she will take that as well. If not I will just give her chunky soup for another day or 2 then try mixing in some comm raw into her soup.

Here is am update for yesterday: I tried feeding Miya commercial raw duck... She was not having that! Haha. I think the texture bothered her. I tried finger feeding and she would lick the juices off my finger. But any pieces she threw a fit. So I cut the duck with some chicken soupie. Finger fed.. Still no. I added more warm water and finally she ate! It was very thin consistency. But I don't mind going back a step for a new meat. Last night she got chicken soupie with small beef slivers and heart slivers. I don't add much water now. It stays pretty thick. She ate some. Funny story. This morning my bf got up early to leave and miya went to her dish to eat. Well she let him know she was NOT happy about her food this morning. It was what was in her cage last night. So I don't know why she was throwing a fit but he said she was gagging at her food them she would eat them she hissed at her food them she would eat. . Etc etc. I don't think she likes food as the water starts to evaporate off. silly girl this morning is duck and soupie again.

She was most definitely letting SOMEONE know she was happy with the quality of this particular restaurant!

Haha. It's funny because she ate every last bite. I fed her duck mixed with chicken this morning and she almost ate all of it. Thin consistency again. So 3 proteins regularly. Duck beef and chicken. she also had turkey once in her soup. But my crew only get turkey once a week. So Friday she will get some of theirs again. I think I may add commercial raw lamb soon but then concentrate on moving up chunk sizes.

Updated Weight - 1lb 15 oz (so staying the same) Poops: small but well formed Energy: very good. Just so happy to be out and about. Dances a lot! Today I made another batch of chicken soupie. (and 6 meals of "organ soup" (just kindey and liver ground up for my spoiled picky eaters!) for my other 4). I also prepackaged slivers for Miya's soupie. About 10 meals worth so (dance) I prepackaged small slivers (which she is on now). medium slivers, and large slivers. The large are almost an inch long. I hope to progress to those soon!

I fed Miya last night, she ate almost every last piece. Chicken about the size of my pinky nails in her soupie. Some a little larger. This morning I fed her duck with soupie. I came home at 5:30 and it didn't look like she had touched it. But when I walked in and she saw me she started eating almost right away. Kyra used to do this... refuse to eat without me present. I hope this phase passes! If I am away for a weekend and come home the first think Kyra does is eats! and eats! Thankfully Miya is young yet so if she doesn't eat much when I am away right now its not as big of a deal.
