I had an issue with one of mine getting vaccinated too. he almost died...so he doesn't get any vaccinations any more. Someone knows what the conversion is. post it on the fb page and see if someone else knows the conversion.Did the vet tell your boyfriend what the normal range is?

so should I still be feeding Alto the same food as always? I'll be feeding at 9am, then 5pm, then 9pm, then midnight. Would that be enough?

yes, food as you have been, just measure down a little so he is getting the same per day but in more feedings.
Lets get him used to this new schedule and then we can move on with the switch. The important thing right now is to get him stabilized and used to his new food schedule. They are doing well so no worries!

I don't know what to do...Alto did not want to eat this morning at all. I even gave him just the mush mixed with water and h locked a bit but just wanted to get away. So since he had a bit of food in his fun I have his pediapred and he instantly projectile puked all over the kitchen...I don't know what to do. He's refusing to eat

Would it be ok if I added chicken baby food to his raw food? Or should I keep that separate? I know he used to love it when I have him that when I made duck soup.

Clint got him to eat finally but the vets called the vet here and got him to take some sucrafate and Zantac I think it was. Then he gave the pediapred. An he finally ate not bad. Clint said he was acting hungry but he made it quite soupy as well.

so glad to hear it! It's going to take a little while to get him on the right medicine and food regime. I'm glad he's hungry. these poor little babies. if at all possible try not to revert to the chicken baby food. The raw is so much better for him and will last him longer than anything else. Of course everything is out the window if he won't eat. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, but I'm so happy that he ate good.

Ok I wasn't too sure about it, I'm glad I asked cuz that what I would have done. He's still sleepy but hopefully it just takes a little bit for him to adjust to the meds and get better. His poop yesterday were horrible, but today they look good!! So that's a positive too

Hey, that's good news! How's he doing today? Mine have been sleeping all day. It's rainy and gloomy today, so they've been just napping and eating a little. LOL the life of a fert! <3

Ya I know hey...I wish I was a ferret sometimes...no worries about anything and always happy Alto is doing so much better today...I was surprised actually. I let him out this afternoon and he actually wanted out of the cage and he was playing! Dancing and beating up Donut... He's back to his normal self! I have just been hand feeding him just chicken mush tho since he got sick so it's easier for him to eat, but I think tomorrow I'll start him back on the normal chicken chunks/mush with the other ferrets. See how he does anyway. Donut and Mika are eating so well. Donut lays down on the floor in the kitchen and waits for his food and they both eat on their own without me helping. I'm so proud of them. Sometimes they don't eat right away but they snack on it all night or all day long and most of the food is gone. My dog was bad and snuck over and ate most of their chicken last night, so all I fed them was chicken chunks, NO mush and the plate was licked clean when I looked this morning. I did add a tiny bit of salmon oil, but still! Its awesome.

Oh Natasha! That's such great news all the way around!!!!
Donut and Mika are read for the next step, how fabulous! But they can wait for Alto, I had one lag behind a little and I think it benefits all of them to keep them moving forward at the same rate. He's not far behind them, though. Sounds like your dog is jealous of the new food plan! hehehe How cute is that!
Nice to see Alto running and playing like normal again! And it's always good to see them back to beating each other up. That's a fantastic sign. LOL Let me know how he does when you start back on chunks/mush with him.
One of the best feelings of all is watching the waiting for their food....sometimes they shake when they eat because they are so excited about their food. There is almost nothing better than seeing them excited to eat.
Sometimes a little break in all the food changes is beneficial and it seems like everyone has at least one "setback" that really proves to be good for them.
Thank you for the great news! Nice way to start my Sunday morning! Football game is on in 45 minutes and i started cooking for the party about 20 minutes ago.
Give Alto, Donut and Mika a big kiss for me!

I fed Alto chunks with the mush as usual last night and this morning and he just doesn't want them lol He can eat just chicken mush all day long no problem but when the chunks get in there he's done eating right away. I start out with spooning mush first to get him licking that then I put a small chunk on the spoon and he licks it then it goes in his mouth and he tilts his head up and tries to take off with it. I never let him go with it tho because he will just go in a corner or under the bed and leave it and won't come back. It's not like he doesn't eat the chunks at all but mostly he either tilts his head up and tries to take off or he will spit it out.
