Nope, but I'm not done yet! Jayden will eat some soup off the floor now, not from the bowl though lol. Charlie is now doing what I call the helicopter that Kyle does - spinning violently when scruffed. Kyle hasn't eaten much today other than the few bites of the kibble with mush/soup earlier. He's been fine though and was out playing about an hour ago and will give me lots of kisses. He's not getting mad at me about the soup anymore Which is good because he was starting to hurt my feelings haha. One or more of them had bad diarrhea yesterday/this morning. I went to play the piano and there was poop all over the pedals/floor. I was not impressed!

LOL yeah that's going to happen at first hahaha! I had it on my walls like someone throwing spaghetti behind their cage. It'll straighten back out I promise just consider the consistency of what's going in their systems....it isn't going to come out whole lol. I know it's a pain though. I'm glad Kyle isn't being spiteful anymore! It's hard you just have to be stubborn and consistent. They'll learn that you aren't being mean . Just talk real sweet to them while scuffing them or doing anything forceful. I'm sure you do already tho sounds like you're the same with yours as I am with mine. I know it's probably getting frustrating and you were hoping it would go faster, but persistence is critical! You're doing great so please don't lose hope!!

Oh and abou jayden eating off the floor - it's pretty common for them to figure out they want to eat somewhere that isn't the food bowl lol! Maybe try a flat cookie sheet or pan if you don't want to continually clean the floor.

Have to step in here. If they are doing that when scruffed then don't scruff for feeding. You don't want them thinking bad things are going to happen. You will have to find another way to work around it, otherwise they are going to get far too stressed and start to associate the raw with the stress and you'll have to back way up and wait a while to start again.

Thanks Sherry, I'll stop that with Charlie for now. It may be the beef soup I've introduced that he doesn't like. Kyle doesn't get scruffed for this anymore for that very reason, he's such a drama queen. He's not making this easy for me, that's for sure. I said this earlier, but Kyle would run away if he saw me with the bottle of tone when I had to give him medicine. Which is why I haven't tried using tone to calm him down before trying raw, I don't want him to fear it again. It took weeks to get him to realize he wasn't going to get medicine anymore.
And Rinrose, ugh. That must have been awful. It took me a good 20min to get it all cleaned up because most of it was dried and in small crevices...I had a headache from the smell by the time I was done. They have never pooped there before. I was hoping it would go faster. This was much easier with my dogs, even my senior girl who was the pickiest eater her entire life took to it in a few days. At least I am making progress though (with 3/4 anyway), I would have probably been too frustrated by now to keep going otherwise. I'm not going to give up! I'll try a pan or plate today with Jayden. Thankfully I don't have carpet! They did eat the new kibble last night so they might not be too hungry yet.

You are definitely making progress! Just keep dabbing and what not when you can As I've said a million times haha! Maybe try quickly dipping pieces of kibble in the soup and hand feeding it to Kyle, kind of similar to what I suggested earlier?

I'll give it a try! Now that I know he's eating this new stuff it should make things easier. The trick will be catching him in the act!

Just don't put food down until you know for a fact that they'll be hungry

I leave it down (the kibble) just so that they have something to come and find. I stop them before they get a chance to have any. It's funny watching them try to sneak by me Do you think I should take it away completely? So they don't keep thinking they have the choice? Kyle still doesn't eat during the day though. Which is weird what with his low glucose. He'll go from around 9am-11pm with no food. He's doing fine though, still active and alert throughout the day.

If he is still active and alert then I wouldn't think there's anything to worry about. Yes I'd definitely take the kibble up so they don't have a choice. Just watch them and if they start showing bad signs, give them some bites. Other than that make them stick to the soup.

Ok, will do! I'll leave the empty bowl so I can see when they're hungry. Kyle's just as fat as ever too, so he's definitely not starving. The babies beg for treats a lot more often these past few days, but I'm not giving into their big sad eyes. Jayden is still doing well with the soup. Charlie has just decided to continue being a brat today. He'll take a lick and then struggle to get lose. Johnny hasn't had any soup yet today, he pushes my hand away while he's scruffed so I can't get the soup to his mouth. He's a strong little bugger, just like Kyle.

Oh and the verdict is in. No one like organs, pureed or slivered (surprise, surprise). So I think I'll keep mixing it in with muscle meat for the time being.
