Also when I got home it was all gone so it may be just a preference thing. There WERE some green poops though. Normal consistency/size, just dark green.

That may be it, I'm not sure. I'll let you know if he's more enthusiastic about his chicken tomorrow. Okay, sounds great! Also when I got home it was all gone so it may be just a preference thing. There WERE some green poops though. Normal consistency/size, just dark green. I know some of my kids like to let the meat sit out a little bit. The green means the food is passing too fast. As long as the consistency is fine and it doesn't, continue, I wouldn't be worried.

He seems to have slid back a bit as far as being a lazy eater goes. A couple weeks ago he was munching chicken ribs like it was no big deal but now he seems uninterested. Not sure what's going on.

Maybe he's bored with chicken? Has he had Anything other than chicken?

Does he seem to prefer one meat over any other? I know my girls prefer cgh over chicken and will sometimes hold out for it.

If I had to guess I'd say he likes CGH best.

Do you think it could be because the bones are smaller ? Maybe easier to eat?

The clips seem to work well for him but I have them clipped straight to the bars of the cage so nighttime snacking is kind of noisy. I'll figure something out.

I know the sound ;D Nyxie is so annoying at night. What about using string and thread it through the meat? Like meat string?

I'll have to see if I can find some of that. I'm getting really concerned about how much he is (or isn't) eating. Last night I put a chicken neck in with him and he's only finished half of it in the 14 hours since I left for work. That doesn't seem like very much at all, especially with winter coming. He DID gnaw on some of the ribs, which is good. I'll start weighing his food when it goes in and when it comes out, I guess.

Also, maybe try weekly weigh ins for him. As long as he isn't losing, i wouldn't be *too* concerned. None of my girls have started winter gaining yet maybe Remus thinks it's summer time ?

I didn't get an accurate weight on what he ate but I think it was half a liver and two chicken hearts over a 24 hour period, so that's good. It was in a bowl and kind of slashed up though so we'll see how he does on CGH tonight. Last time I weighed him he hadn't lost any more weight, it's just strange that he went from 1.2kg over the summer to 1.06 in November...maybe you're right about his seasons, what a dweeb.

A lot of younger fuzzies have it all backwards. I know all mine are pretty screwed up. Also, lighting schedules can affect when they switch seasons

Sorry for the lack of raw switch action on my end. He's doing well on it. I'm still seeing what seems to be a lot of waste but I think it's from me giving him more than he needs rather than from him undereating. Tonight I gave him a segmented chicken wing and he's digging right in and crunching on one of the two thinner bones. Of course, he'll probably give up on it as soon as I post this.
