What types of meat chunks have you tried? Is there any way that you can get a picture of the soup and some of the chunks? So you have access to Freeze Dried raw at all?

I'll take pictures of everything tomorrow, have an early show and Meeko's trying me tonight with his meds....
And for freeze dried, you mean just that? Like I know my pet stores around here sell dehydrated beef or chicken cubes or something...I would highly doubt any of our fuzz's would like them though...treats were hard enough to get them to like...Sahara won't even lick oil or anything like the other two...
And I've tried a small sliver of every type..chicken, beef, lamb, rabbit.. in his soup if he comes across a chunk of piece of meat or fat he chews it up and eats it no prob. But if it's on it's own or being handed to him he doesn't want any part of it. With time I imagine... Thank you again~

Wait, so he WILL eat it as long as it is in the soup? I thought he was spitting even the soup chunks out...

No sorry for the confusion..h*ll eat small chunks in the soup and what not..as long as they're not a certain size or consistency I guess..i know it sounds odd but he is choosy on what he eats and what he just licks the soup off and leaves in the bowl..because yes I've seen him take chunks out and eat them, then I've watched him lick them and move onto another spot.
I know it's odd and for that I apologize for the confusion just he is odd...i guess he takes after his father in being difficult.. :S
I'll go into more detail on the soup and how I've done so many different consistencies for them and he's still very picky lol...he knows its good for him so just a matter of time ~ again sorry and thank you!

Okay THAT is fine, I can work with that! ;D Keep feeding hm chunky soup! Let him get used to the number and size of chunks in it. Then start to Slowly increase the number (but not the size yet) of chunks.

Cool, that's what we've been doing is instead of pulsing it in the blender for oh say ~20 times we've been doing subsequently less pulses in the blender doe a thicker consistency.
I have a video of him doing the behavior I have referred to I just need to upload to YouTube I think so ill get to that today later.
Thank you again, also we started meeko on flower essences in hopes to try to calm this licking of his down a little. Any other suggestions for possible stress anxiety? I already have some of my dirty clothes in with him, he gets free roam all day, always a full food bowl, and if were not home well leave on a kids show or some light sound for them... just want to make sure we're helping him as much as we can..
Thank you~

Flower essences? I've never heard of that... Did he originally live with Sahara and Steve and you separated him when he began getting sick, or was he always separate? If he is used to being with them it will help reduce his stress to get time with his buddies again. If you can let them play together when you are home even that should help some. Maintaining a set schedule is helpful too. Other than that, can you get some Rescue Remedy?

For Steve, keep doing what you are doing with the soup and just making it thicker and thicker. Keep me posted.

Sorry whirlwhind again and it doesn't seem to be settling :/
Regardless, yes meeko was originally with Steve, so...we got a ferret nation and threw em all in...the issue was never agression or anything but we didn't know what was wrong with meeko and didn't want possible contamination or additional stress.. But they've spent the night now and all seems ok..meeko does indeed still lick himself...but maybe time will help.
In regards to gbe flower essences. RR is the same thing, just uses extracts like impatient, cherry wood, rose rock, and a few others..and we've been keeping up on him with the RR and just generally sending him very positive energy.
The soup..well still working with Steve..hes been acting slightly off so were monitoring him will keep updated after work..sorry, and thank you for all

So...everyone seems to be doing fine as I got home tonight..behaviors normal, etc. This is night 2 together in the new FN. So my concern now being that looking into the oh so fun litterbox I found these.... (poop).... No idea to tell who's they are right now as noone has gone since. But as you can see theres odd granules...and I don't want to say it's 'seedy' as when I well...grabbed it it wasn't like your typical seedy poop which has various textures / colors..this just came out in this odd little looking things, as you can see... I'm sorry to have you look but it's just odd... The food is a mix of beef/chicken/lamb with a piece of Beef liver into it. Meeko's is Rabbit with a piece of liver. Both mixes had the same portion of oil/pumpkin roughly. Thank you and sorry again for the eye sore. Wayyy over stressed parents over here and anything that looks odd gets looked at..

;D Oh no apologies necessary! None of us are strangers to poop here, me especially. With Koda's IBD I've probably posted more poop pictures than anyone here. The poops look a little seedy to me, but they don't look too bad. I would think someone is just digesting the soup a little too fast combines with their GI tracts adjusting to the diet still. As long as everyone is eating and pooping and no one is lethargic I would just keep an eye out and see how things develop. You mentioned Steve seemed a little off earlier; perhaps he just had a bit of an upset stomach (not feeling good = not acting right) and this is the result. It looks firm enough so I don't think oil, pumpkin, or calcium are the issue. I will be able to see it better when I get on my computer. For now I still say monitor them, see if you can't see who it was, and make sure everyone is eating, pooping and playing. It is strange, but it doesn't look terrible. Something to keep in mind for future reference too (just because I know you keep a close eye out - as you should) is that on raw their poops will Not be uniform like with kibble. Their poop will be very different depending on what they eat each meal. As you wean them off of soup and start chunks and bones you will be able to notice this a lot more. How much oil and pumpkin are you adding to the soup each meal? How much liver? Are Steve and Sahara getting heart in their soup? Are you adding calcium other than the bone chunks, and if so what (powdered egg shell, bone meal...) and how much? Were there little granules (little hard pieces) in the poop at all? If you are housing them all together again how are you controlling their food? How often do they get meals, and is food still being left in the cage? Sorry for the question bombardment, just trying to make sure I'm caught up with everyone's status. The more details I know the better idea I have of where they each stand, what might be behind the strange poop, and where to go next. And never apologize for being a concerned ferrent! We all obsess over our babies - I have spent hours dissecting poops with toothpicks to look for foreign objects (Koda has a chewing problem ), I have posted far more than my share of poop pictures (and looked at nearly as many of other ferrets' poops), spent sleepless nights worrying over nothing... We've all done it here. ;D ;D It's all part of being a concerned ferrent! You guys are great ferrents. Keep it up!

Sorry, been a very emotional week...
Meeko is no longer with us ~ He is finally able to play and dook around~
Sahara is eating chunks willing from my hand, rabbit, steak, chicken, etc.
Steve still has NO desire for chunks, and he'll only eat the soup if it's nice and soupy...he is VERY picky...I also think he's not handling Meeko so well...just alot of ups and downs in his behavior.
I will do a larger update and answer your question when my tears don't blur the screen as much. We apologize for not updating as much, but as you see it's been tough... Thank you and am extremely sorry for not keeping it updated~
