Koda is acting lethargic and I found what I'm 99% sure is vomit in the cage. It was liquid with some chicken chunks. I separated him back onto his own level. I don't know what to do. I can't handle this anymore. It's just too much! I'm falling apart. He ate several spoonfuls of blended chicken hearts with warm water, and vitamin powder. But he isn't interested in playing or in coming out of the cage when I open it. He was 100% FINE last night. The baby ferrets have Diarrhea (I blame Hagrid), and Kenai was with them because I had nowhere else to put them all after the storm. Thus Koda got exposed to them via Kenai who I moved back in with Koda after he was healed enough. But that was a few days ago and he has been fine up until today. I'm freaking out. I don't know what could be wrong this time. He's just sleeping, hasn't gone to the bathroom or thrown up or anything since I got home so Imdont even have anything to go off of. He has chewed up his tail a bit, basically his rat tail got worse. He just dug in the otter box and looked like he was going to go and then stopped and curled back up to go to sleep in his blanket. Please please pray he's okay. I can't handle it if he's not. This is killing me... He has a lump right under his ribcage in the center, in the diaphragm area. The vet in the emergency clinic tonight doesn't see ferrets.

Oh no. I hope he will be ok. Is the lump hard? Soft? Is it attached or is it free moving as though it were on the skin?

Thanks guys. Just an update. Koda got up and went pee/poop. It looked like doing so was extremely uncomfortable. I can tell he hurts for some reason. He Pooped only a tiny bit, but it was semi-decent looking. Pee was normal. I got him to eat a little more soupies but not very much. Maybe a spoonful total, possibly 2. He is still lethargic. The lump is hard and it's fixed in place. It's visible when you hold him. I'll try to take a picture in the morning. It's 4:30Am here.

Best bet is going to be to talk to the vet who did the surgery for him. Fingers crossed everything is fine.

Still lethargic but looking a little more alert. He ate some more when I got up at 4 and again when I got up at 11. He went pee this morning, but I haven't seen another poop which concerns me. No more vomit that I've seen though. *knock on wood*

Katt, I don't know anything about surgeries but could a stitch or something internal have come loose? What colour are his stools? ciao

Yaay we have a poop! It's not a great poop, but not a terrible one either. That lump is still there under his ribs. I don't like it at all...
