I just discovered when I bought the ground turkey breast (also in ground chicken) at the grocery store, it has rosemary extract in it. Is this ok?

It should still be pretty close though. I would post in Ferret Talk and ask about the poofing. I don't have any experience with intact ferrets. I do believe it should decrease as he ages and after he is neutered though, either surgically or chemically, but I would ask on the main boards.

Here is a link to a previous question about Rosemary, holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/5340/rosemary-extract I think I would avoid it in the future. Can you get chicken wings?

Rosemary Extract is ok, it's the Oil that you want to avoid. Just be sure to read ingredients carefully and make sure it's extract and not oil. How is your boy doing today?

over 4 lbs. Trying to load pics. Still mouthy and nippy. Maybe I am not putting him in time out enough......LOL! Eating well but have to sneak in all the organs in small amounts. So he is usually getting some kind of organ daily but also having bone-in too. So this keeps the poop just right. How are your babies? How is the studying?

Wow, what a big beautiful boy! I did the same during my switches, they got balanced meals until they got used to everything. Organs can be so tricky that sometimes any trick we can use to get them to eat them is a good trick lol! If you can get some chicken wings for him this would be good, it will keep him in the habit of crunching bones. Ferrets that are on grinds for a long period tend to become lazy eaters and do not want to work too hard to eat.

Yes. I have noticed that. Stopped eating the mice, chicks, and now doesn't even want to chew on a gizzard.

Just wondering when I should neuter him and have the DES implanted to guard against adrenal disease? Do I have to wait until he comes into season? I have looked at some threads in this forum but just wondering your opinions?

From everything I have read waiting until after his first season is the best for his health (maybe not your sanity but definitely for his health! Lol) I would wait until then yes.
