My kids are picky about bowls vs plates too. They are plate banned in their cage though because they were throwing food everywhere! That's awesome! Yes he will probably like his food thawed. Mine haven't gotten on to the idea of meatsicles yet. But I do sometimes serve it frozen and they can eat it when it thawed.

He's doing pretty well at the moment. His coat looks shinier and more vibrant... Eating LOADS at the moment but considering the rubbish that he was eating before I'm not surprised - it'll take him a while to make up for lost nutrition, as you said, and get used to how much he needs. Seedy poops but they're getting more uniform. He's put on weight too I think but I'll find out when I weigh him on Sunday. I'll fill out the form when I do. Xx

Fantastic!
If he is taking soup well, when you get the chance, cut some slivers of chicken, you can use partially frozen chicken and a vegetable peeler to make them super thin and sneak them into his soup. Start slow, only put in like 5 pieces, we want him to pick them up accidentally and not be able to eat around them easily. This will get him used to the texture of food. We will also start reducing the amount of water in his soup as well. Making it more of gravy as time goes on than a soup.

Yeah... He's not impressed lol. I made his soup only very slightly thicker and added a few slivers... He didn't seem impressed with the new texture and then freaked out with the first one he found and ran around the room rubbing his face all over everything... May have to put half a teaspoon of coconut oil into this but I'll wait and see if he'll eat it on its own with enough time. Not a big fan of adding coconut oil as I don't think he can digest it properly xx

For sure, see if he can eat it without the coconut oil first. Also, sorry, I wasn't clear earlier. Either add the slivers or add less water and then wait a few meals before doing the other. Feel free to add more water to this meal for now and keep in the slivers.

We want to go slow with him. If he will accept the changes easily then good for us but if he wants to go slow we can do that. If we need to push him, we will do that but for now, lets try to be sneaky!

I did end up putting in a little more water and he ate it eventually getting used to the surprise of the slivers. I think for a couple of meals I'll make it a bit thicker and keep out the slivers then reintroduce them. That way he can get used to the texture you're right. He will eventually love it but it will take time, as you said, so I'll try and be a bit more patient with him xx

Did he eat any slivers at all? Or just spit them out?
Perfect. Let me know how the thickening goes.

Oh good. If he eats what you give him, then keep it up. You can start thickening the soup a little each meal. If he won't eat a certain texture, take a step back and let him get used to it again for a meal or two. Keep adding the slivers too (just the same amount and size you have been adding) since he did eat them as well. Great job Leo!

The green stools are from the change in food. You'll get some weird ones, every time I try a new protein my litter boxes resembles a rainbow. As long as it doesn't persist, you will be fine.
Portions look good too. He seems to be taking to the soupies rather nicely.
Oh and another request, can you put his past weeks weight on part where his weight goes. So something like 1235g (LW-1240g).

I figured as much. The watery one did concern me a bit but his next one was ok.
Ok I will do. Last week he was 1233g. I'll edit that now. xx

Leo was coughing a while ago so I gave him a chicken egg yolk. He ate the whole thing. I hope that's alright. He seemed to enjoy it and he's stopped coughing now xx
