Hey so His poops are more solid now ( with the occasional weirder more sloppy one) but look kinda thin? He doesnt seem to be in pay anymore, not gritting his teeth.
Herman is all healed up too! And I was thinking of letting my boys play today but im so nervous? Haha I just will feel horrible because I know lafie is going to go right for herman's scruff... x-x'' Should I just let them out together and see what happens? Herman kisses Lafie though the bars still. And lafie is very chatty when he smells herman ( not sure if thats good or bad?)

It's al up to them to settle things. We've had to endure some rather vicious looking battles, but there's peace in the valley now.

I agree with unclejoe they will work it out. No poop, no pee, no blood no foul. If Herman is all healed up playtime together is the only way they will work it out. Go for it!

Well ok I tryed just letting them out together and so far what i seen is
Lafie chases herman around bitting him and shaking and such. Herman trying to get away from him/running away and only bitting him when he is getting bitten.
I dont think i have seen and pee or poo? ( They keep going under things! I need a flash light. But neither were wet to the touch ? so i dont think so) And I dont think any bleeding? ( i keep checking herman but there was only one kinda "wound" but it wasnt bad just a little pink bit of raised skin on his back
So yah do i just... keep trying this? or is there a better way? ( Im like having panic attacks, like shaking and stuff because herman like runs away every time. At least now he is bitting him back. He makes a lot of squeaks but not really screaming anymore)
Also I was holding Lafie down to see if herman would go like squeak at him but he wasnt interested it seem? Like he looked at him then went to move away. And of course lafie was ready to go get him x-x
Ps cute moment haha, I was laying with herman ( i was giving him a brake) and scratching his neck and he fell asleep with his head in my hand ;u; ugh hes such a cute little guy i feel so bad letting Lafie go get him x-x
Its like the second he sees Herman, Lafie goes to attack him

It's so hard on us, watching them work it out. They sound like they are doing fine. Lafie is establishing his dominance. Hermie is holding his own. Hermie may get a few scratches, but as long as he is not peeing or pooping with fear or any blood is drawn, he's okay. It may look rough and it really makes us worry, but it's all part of ferret intros.
It sounds like Hermie is worn out now. The next time they play, try sitting on the floor with them with a blanket. Flap the blanket around, wave a toy at them, and try some parallel play, like you do with a toddler.
They'll be good friends before you know it.

Ok ill give it a try tomorrow! Herman looked super tired ( he is used to walking around and flopping and such at his leisure hehe)
I hope your right! Ill try the blankets and toys and such. Is there like a time amount I should wait before pulling them apart? I worry im acting to soon haha

Watch Lafie for your cues. If he gets too rough, shaking Hermie and making him whimper, then Hermie will remove himself. That's how they tell each other that enough is enough. The same can apply to you, if one of the boys gets too rough with you, you walk away for about two minutes and then come back.
Our ferrents with years of experience will tell you that it's better to let them decide. The more you interfere, the longer the intros will take.
I have a boy Roamy who is simply very aggressive with anyone new. I had to break up intros, and it does take longer. He goes for blood and the others will pee and poop with fear. So in my case, I was willing for it to take longer.
Since Hermie is recovering, I'd supervise them for the next few days. What are the sleeping arrangements?

Yah, herman is all healed on the outside but his poos are still not as big as they used to be and some wetter ones form time to time still.
I will be watching them for sure ever time there out together until they get happy haha.
Right now they sleep separated. one ferret nationcage split in half

The next time you have a few hours to let them free roam, open a drawer and put a blanket in it. You just might find them curled up together sleeping. Or you could open the cage up and watch them, when you have some time.
I found that mine would sleep together before they would play together.

Totally agree with everything @poncesmom said in her last few posts. Nothing to add just keep at it! You're doing a good job! :goodjob:

yeah. It sux, but they will work it out 99% of the time. It's a matter of how long. Once I had to pull Jaffa off of Alice (He was 3x her size, literally) and pin him down so she could chew him out. It was amazing to watch, like a mom reaming out a kid that got busted ditching school, or more accurately, picking on his little sister. She paced back and forth while dooking and hissing at him and lunging at his face. Next day they were found sleeping together in a drawer. This after 2 months of conflict. Never had another issue. I SOOO wish I had that on video.

So an update. I can like distract lafayette with toys but he generally goes back to trying to bite onto herman. Herman is starting to get more upset and making louder noises and squeaks. Lafie dooks and stuff when he trys to get him and is near him.
I tryed giving them a treat at the same time and lafie took his and hid with it and herman just sat there and ate his.
Lafie is pulling hair out of herman but i dont see any blood? Both seem exausted after eve like... ten minute+ rounds of this.
I tryed pinning lafie for herman to hiss and make noises at but he mostly walks away, except near the end before i decide herman was getting worn out, he bit lafie on the nose, no blood! just a hard wack it seemed.
I put them in eachother cages for smell and stuff. Idk I feel like lafie just being really agressive! i even put the sonecream (idk how spelled lol) on herman, and i mean like all over herman. And it does make him less wanting to bite him? but he like bites him in the back and stuff and sometimes in the face?

I don't think I would use the sudocream on every part of Herman as a deterrent for Laffie, mostly because if the face the the only thing not covered that is what Laffie will go for and I don't think it's a great idea. Have you tried to put them in a cage together for a supervised time? There is less room for him to get worked up and excited so maybe a short cage time together will be good? Maybe some one else can comment on if that sounds like a good idea. If you are right there to watch and keep it short intervals, 10-20 mins a time maybe to make sure no poop no pee and no blood? It is definitely hard to watch I know but I think they are slowly working it out and you are doing great!

Can you post a video of their interacting? Find a nice area where we can see them play for a few minutes. Heather is especially good at body language. She can be quite reassuring that what you are seeing is normal or whether it's a little too aggressive. Plus this gives me an excuse to see Herman and Lafie, and I'm growing quite fond of them.

Sure ill try to get a video of them! Gotta charge my cell phone first haha.
By the way, would putting them into the bathtub be as good as putting them in the cage together? I just would like to be able to brake them up as fast as i can if i see blood/wee/poo x-x
