Panda was chewing on a medical glove while i was in the shower... lots of the pieces are missing.. I started blockage protocol, I'm praying it works...
The thing is, I don't take any gloves in there, and the roommate I evicted is here packing.. She knows where I keep my gloves. I think she did it... I'm contacting the police, but unfortunately I have no proof. I was just about to go talk to a video surveillance service.. I'm so scared.. I'm really hurting for money so I'm afraid I won't be able to help her..
I really hope blockage protocol fixes it..

Gosh, I am terribly sorry about everything. There is a lot of people on forum who r pretty well experienced in doing the protocol. Maybe they will come on soon and give u some support. My first ferret kits passed plastic bag pieces ---I did not even knew they had chewed the bags. They passed them on their own. So ferrets r pretty resilient---not to take away from the situation.

When I did protocol with mine, my ferret got a little nauseated. She ran off and stuck her head down, i thought she was going to vomit, so I quit half way through. She did pass things also when I fed her some chicken thigh with fat on it.

What a horrible situation to be in. To be totally honest it was things like this that stopped me going to uni, I couldn't afford to not share and I couldn't bring myself to have others around my pets. Took me long enough to trust my OH and I can't help to watch over him when I know he's doing something with my babies. Can you tell I have trust issues, rescue ferrets suit me well!
But yeah it totally sucks. I hope your little one manages to pass it. Please keep us posted, I'm sure there are lots of us here that are thinking about you and your fuzzies with all this going on.
On a side note, if this horrible person is packing does that mean they will be gone soon? If so I'd scrap the CCTV idea and get all the locks changed. It will need doing anyway and will probably be cheaper, unless you can borrow the cameras from someone?

We're changing the locks and she should be gone by the end of the week. I still might get surveillance just to be safe... She's doing well so far and it's been 2 hours..

Oh no! I'm sending you healing thoughts and good luck with the protocol. As for the roommate, does she even know that a rubber glove could be a problem for a ferret? I don't think most people would have a clue how dangerous it could be.
It's great that Panda's been doing well so far. You're not having any problems getting her to take the pumpkin or vaseline? Let us know how it goes. We'll be anxiously waiting for your updates.

My heart sank when I saw your title and who posted. How is the protocol going? I'll keep an eye out and please keep us posted.
I would hate to think that she did this but some people are evil. I know we talked about your medical gloves and you had put them up and away.
I'd patrol your home. Look for other possible sabotage.

The good thing that the glove material is really thin, and it's likely that if she ingested any it's in small pieces. Be concerned and to the protocol, but don't panic yet.

Be consistent with the protocol and don't stop until you see proper sized poo. However, it can still be floating blockage. Two of mine had a floating blockage that in the end passed out after blockage protocol and lots of fat, after they shared the band of my wristwatch. It's possible she'll pass everything out, however, if she doesn't poop within 4-6 hours and she starts vomiting, it's time to vet as emergency. if you don't have the funds, please try to ask for help, I know how hard it is, but if she absolutely needs it...

I looked through my room and there's nothing else I could see. Pandas poops aren't normal sized but they aren't small.. she's eating and acting normal.. she had a messy bum and tail and I wiped it with a warm washcloth.
My roommate has heard me tall about Pandas issues with eating plastic things so.. I don't know. She did call me a flurry of rude names this morning so.. I know she was angry. I talked to a police officer but they can't really do anything.

Good. Keep watching while she is still living there. Put those gloves in a hiding place, maybe you could lock them in your car. I hate to say it, but I'd even check their food and water. It may be overkill and she may not try to hurt them, but I wouldn't take any chances.
I'd also watch all their poops until she is gone. A blockage poop often looks pencil thin. I'm so sorry that you have to worry like this.

Noodle has good poop and they have new food and water. Everything is locked up now, and I told her she's only allowed in the house to pack and if someone is watching her the entire time

Where are you at in the protocol? I meant to ask you, was Noodle anywhere around the chewed glove?
