Yes I'm just going to stick with the RAW diet. Now if I could just get my vet to increase the dose we'll be good!
Where do I get Carafate?
I still have not gone to bed...I don't want to miss her feedings. I'll go to bed after her next feeding at 4am, which is another hour.
I guess you're like me, a night owl? lol

Carafate is prescribed by a Vet, its used pretty often, I'd watch Bella for signs of tummy upset, if she shows any you can have your Vet call some in. You give Carafate then 45 min later give Pred. -posted before I finished typing, stupid phone lol I've had to stay up nights with mine too, even if you just get 2 hours of sleep it'd be better than none, when my Jules was sick I fed her every 2 hours during the night, after that I slept through the week... LOL Yep I'm a night owl, I fell asleep for 3 hours earlier today so I'm wide awake now.

Should I still get the Carafate once I switch her to the pediapred?
I'm going to be a tired one today...I have a granddaughter who is going to be up in a few hours to open gifts! lol

It can't hurt, Carafate is a good prevention, treatment and cure for many stomach issues.
We open presents Christmas eve so I'm sure when I wake up my family will be obsessing over all their stuff lol, my 10 mo old niece was more interested in the wrapping paper than the toys, LOL

You won't be using carafate....that's what it's called in the US. You will be using sulcrate. It's the exact same thing but different names ciao

I have a couple of questions.... As you will see in an earlier post on this thread, I received some guidance from a Vet that my sister works with 9 hours away from me. Again this is what he had to recommend: 1- likely her dose will have to be raised - at least until you have better control - see the vet for a new dose
2- she is not eating enough amounts or often enough. Double the amounts and feed every two hours. A ferrets metabolism is so fast already that they process things very quickly. Food recommendations include "Carnivore Care" (a special food meant for chronic illness) he also recommends some of the molasses treats for the extra boost.
3 expect the sugars to stay in the middle single digits ultimately (4-7) once you have control. So I have to wait until Saturday to call my Vet as she is closed until then. I have increased her feeding to every two hours giving her 4 tsps, including throughout the night. Her poop is diarrhea right now, very runny, is this due to the increase in food? It is not seed like. It's brown in color. Also, am I feeding her too much? I know it's just temporary until her BG goes up, but there are times when she wants to pull away from the syringe and I make sure she finishes it all. Am I doing the right thing? She is taking in approximately 7oz in a 24 hour period. I know it comes from a Vet that my sister totally trusts, but I don't want to over feed her to the point that she gets sick. She has not gagged or anything...I could just tell when she has had enough. Oh and I am not giving her molasses...strictly raw diet!

Things are going good with Bella since yesterday. I increased her dosage of pred and her appetite has increased, she is actually hungry, and I mean hungry! Yesterday she ate 3.7oz!! That's the most she has eaten since I got her! :thankyou: unclejoe for the suggestion, it's working! Seeing the vet today at 3:15!!

Sorry I haven't been on, Marcie broke my laptop charger and I'm having to use my phone, never wanted to throw something repeatedly against the wall before until I've had to use my phone for everything How did the Vet visit go? Did you get any pediapred? I'm excited for Bella to start feeling better. Let us know how it went.

Wow is all I could say! Bella has been pigging out on food! I love it! Yesterday from what I saw and was able to weigh she took in 3.7oz which is great coming from about 1oz or less/day.
I find it hard to keep track though because she has been eating from their bowl, so it's hard to know how much she has eaten and how much Mia has taken in.
Any suggestions??? Or do I just let it be?
I'm going to still get up every 3 hours during the night until her BG is stable.

That's great As long as you know around about how much she is eating that's fine, if she snacks from the bowl and you don't know how much it is that's okay. As long as you have a good idea of what she is getting.
