Awesome! Did you offer him a chicken wing or chunk of meat? If so do and see what he does, tummies with teeth, it's awesome. (dance)

I didn't, I'll try in the morning to see what he does. They ran out of chicken wings at the store my friend went to for me. Should I go just to get the wing or can I try putting a neck in over night instead. He's knocked out right now lol also I had the eggshell powder ready, I'd been studying all this before hand. I just thought I was going to have trouble lol
Also he's sleeping in the litter box and not where he's so supposed to he also just poops in any corner I have a two story ferret nation like the double unit and I don't think he gets that I was him potty downstairs and sleep upstairs. I keep moving him to his hammock and then placing accident poops in the litter box . I should keep on doing this to fix that right? Thanks so much !!!!

You can take a mallet and smash up the neck really good, and offer it to him, pour some of the soup over it, we can go quickly in this switch, I love babies, hehe. What litter are you using? Sometimes changing the litter will help. See if you can get a plastic or cardboard box and put some fuzzy blankets in it, he may like sleeping in boxes, mine do. Scoop up some of his poop and put it in his litter box, most ferrets won't lay where their poo is. Just keep doing this, even if you have 10 piles of poop in there, he should get it, if not we can try litter box boot camp.
Be very proud, you're doing an awesome job!

Hmm. Ok. I'll try and keep moving more poop in there. He won't get up in the middle of the night or anything to go sleep in there, he just will if hes on the bottom floor and he wants to go to bed. What I did was I moved the litter box to a corner up on the top. I had watched Courtney's videos on youtube and I figure that starting with a smaller space (just the second unit) will help him figure it out a bit easier then I'll move it down. If I have to get one for each floor, I will though (: I'll mash it up and leave it in over night, my only question is in the morning will it be bad and need to be thrown away? I need help with a name someone said boots because he has little gray boots but Idk about that....

See if in a few days he still is sleeping on it, and we will try the litter box bootcamp, what litter do you use? Newspaper pellets? Clumping? I use World's Best Clumping Cat Litter, it's all-natural so is safe, Clay litters are an absolute NO-NO, but Swheat Scoop, Blue Buffalo Walnut, and World's Best are good ones, clumping litters are more expensive but last 3-4 times as long as pelleted. Ferrets won't eat meat that has gone bad, so don't worry about that, but here is a general guideline for meats times- “Soups” - 6-8 hours Grinds - 8-12 hours Chunks - 10-24 hours depending on the size (larger chunks last longer) Bone-in meats - 12-24 hours, again depending on the sizeWhole prey - up to 48 hours So the neck will last about a day, if it starts to smell "off" before about 20 hours you can remove it. Names... what kind of names do you like? Whimsical? Funny? Country? etc. @poncesmom comes up with some super cute names too

I have had 2 babies in the past few months. I have found that when they're tiny, they will sleep in the large square litter box, so what I did was use the corner triangle boxes at first. Once they stopped going (eta: pooping) in those (once they grew a little), I switched back to the large square ones and it was fine.
Also, the thing to remember is that right now he is confused because at Petco they sleep and poop on the same bedding. He has to learn that he doesn't have to do that anymore, and that those things are separate now.

There is no need to smash up his bones. Just give them to him. I promise he'll figure out what to do with them.

Ok so good news! I left this morning with the smashed up chicken neck in his bowl, he ate it up. When I got home it was alll gone. Going to give him some more. I'm working on a schedule based on what I have here, besides chicken liver, two of the close by Asian markets didn't have any other organs....... I'm basically working with Chicken: Heart,Liver,Neck,Wing, and Thigh. I'm going to try and work on looking online for a store that sells those kinds of meat. Today is Friday so I'm thinking Friday: Chicken Neck & Chicken Wings Saturday: (Chicken Liver & Other Organ that i need to find) & Turkey Wings Sunday: Chicken Neck & Chicken Thigh Monday: Chicken Wings and CHicken Thigh Tuesday: Chicken wings and chicken hearts Wednesday: Chicken neck and chicken thigh Thursday CHicken wings and CHicken Liver(and other organ that i need to find) repeat etc. How long does he need to stay on a just chicken diet before i can introduce a new protein? Also what signs of allergies should i be looking for? I doubt the pet store bathes them, so Axle gets his first bath today ( Im planning on bathing every 2 months--ive read and seen they dont need much bathing)

Give him a couple of days on chicken, then introduce something else. If he has an allergy, it will show up as projectile vomiting and diarrhea. Baths should ONLY be given if he's gotten into something really dirty that won't wipe off. If you bathe him regularly, you will strip his skin of his natural oils and make him both itchier and stinkier.

Not all allergies will be projectile vomiting/diahrrea, they can cause gum inflammation, obsessive chewing, and dark/loose/watery stools, but vomiting and diahrrea is usually the best indicator. My mentor thought my boy had a chicken allergy, but seems we are in the clear, all he had was gum inflammation and chewing. I'm out now, when I get home I'll help you more with your menu/finding some organs.

gfountain, I'd read that. But was told once a month was the max and so to be on the safe side I decided I would try once every 2 months. Would you still consider that too often? Also, he got some soupie on his paws and fur that like dried up I guess so he needs one
