My worst fear is that someone gets out, and we never find them. Since mine are free roam, I obsess over doors. Ponce did get once, shortly after we moved to Tennessee. Paul heard a knock on the door and opened it, to find Ponce looking up at him. We think Ponce slipped out, when Paul went outside to smoke. Then when he found himself outside, he must have thrown himself at the door. I still shudder to think of losing him, like that. I would obsess too. Even though Rico is out all day long and mostly during the night I still worry obsessively now. Good thing he "knocked" on the door! Poor guy wanted inside! I would hate to have lost Rico because of my stupidity. I would feel awful.

Fingers crossed, this will be your only close call. What did Nate say, when he got home?

Fingers crossed, this will be your only close call. What did Nate say, when he got home? He was so freaked out. Like I said, he cried. I have never seen him cry before. He just held Rico and told him to never do that again. He was so glad we found him. He loves him as much as I do. Nate said, "I love our animals but Rico is like our baby, we would be lost without him." He loves that little boy!

Aww... You have two of the sweetest (big and little, skin and fur) guys ever. You are very lucky and you must be doing something Right! After 3 horrible long term boyfriends I finally found the right one! I knew when we met he was the one. In fact on our first date when Nate dropped me off his exact words were "I knew since 9th grade I was gonna have to make you mine. In girlfriend sense and wife sense." It's just crazy how far we have come since then. He was always so popular in school. I had 2 friends. I couldn't believe he liked me out of everyone! But for some reason we have always just been like Peanut butter and jelly. How did your husband and yourself meet?

I love your story and that Nate recognized you as being the right one. Smart man. Nate is like my Paul who was popular and had tons of friends. I just needed a very select few and lot's of books.
Paul and I met in 1979. I had just been stationed at Little Rock AFB and we were both in the HQ squadron dormitory. We had some mutual friends and I had heard about this funny, smart guy who everyone liked. I was walking up the stairs into the dorm and he came up behind me and bit my tushy. He said I had a great rear end, (no one thought HR back then) and he just couldn't resist. We were both headed to the same party and we got to talking. I thought he was cute, though I actually said in my head..."but he could never be my husband". I wasn't looking for a husband, I have no idea why that thought popped in my head. Anyway, it's 34 years later. We were so young, but its nice that we grew up together and still really like each other.

Its so nice to hear about people being together for 30 years plus. My parents got divorced when I was 14 but for good reasons. You think about strange things when you fall in love with someone haha.

That's a scary story. I can't believe your ferret was a half a mile away. So glad you found Rico.
When I can't find my Natasha, I learned to check under my bed sheets. She likes hiding under them when I make my bed nice and neat, and some times takes a nap there.

I figured he must have gotten out about 5:30-6:00 so he was out for awhile! Rico likes doing that too! How funny.
