Hello from the ProBoards app! I just downloaded it. Hopefully this will help me stay on top.
Ok, so I've been doing soup and slivers. And they continue to leave the slivers then come back for them later. They will eat them if I hand feed them the slivers though. So I've just been increasing the amount of slivers like you said. (They are doing pork slivers right now instead of chicken but they ate them! Our store only had drumsticks so I got pork.) tonight I gave then mostly slivers with soup just coating the chunks. They licked and licked then with my hand feeding are about 1/3 of the plate. Should I take away the soup completely? Or what's the next step?
I'll go see if the albinos are still there. Ack! I don't want them to get put to sleep.
I need to weigh the buggers for this week too but they are sleeping somewhere right now so when they wake up I'll do that.

I mean if they are licking the soup off and eating the now plain slivers later then they know how to eat the slivers and are just being stubborn about it. LOL I would remove the soup and see what they do. Hand feed a little to prompt them to eat if needed. If they really won't eat the slivers then drizzle a little soup over them. They should eat them though once they realize they aren't getting soup. Hah Make sure to hand feed a little a few times a day if you aren't 100% sure they are eating them though just to be safe with BG's. Let me know how they do with that tomorrow.

Oh no...i thought putting this app on my phone would bump me notices when you reply to me? I just came back here and I see you replied 4 times. Hmm. I need to see if I'm not subscribed for updates or something. Do you know anything about how to make it give me notices there has been a reply? Anyway, sorry. I've got I figure that out. Ferret update. So...they have been very reluctant to eat the slivers and chunks. They will ignore them for a while then lick them then ignore them then eventually eat them. I've been putting oil on the meat and they go for it faster if I do that. If I hand feed them the pieces they take them too. I went camping for four days (and got engaged to my boyfriend!!!) and I had a ferret sitter so I just pulled out four days worth of frozen soup to give them during that time. So since I last wrote they have had a few days of reluctant pork chunks and slivers, 4 days of soup, then a few days of reluctant chicken chunks and slivers. I need to weigh them still. I tried earlier and they were in crazy mode and wouldn't hold still. They don't seem like they have dropped any weight but I'll get them on the scale when they fall asleep like I meant to do last week. Zins energy has been super high and Lola's is normal (she's always pretty mellow). Their poops have been small and sometimes runny. There were a few yellowish poops that seemed different than Id seen before. So-next step?

I just saw I can click subscribe to thread...I clicked it. So hopefully that will send me noticed you've replied. I'm going to go into my settings on here and see if I'm missing something too.

Anyway, sorry. I've got I figure that out. I have no idea how to set up notifications from the app, or if that is even a possibility. :/ Sorry! I don't use the app - maybe ask Sherry? Ferret update. So...they have been very reluctant to eat the slivers and chunks. They will ignore them for a while then lick them then ignore them then eventually eat them. I've been putting oil on the meat and they go for it faster if I do that. If I hand feed them the pieces they take them too. So since I last wrote they have had a few days of reluctant pork chunks and slivers, 4 days of soup, then a few days of reluctant chicken chunks and slivers. Congrats on the engagement! Okay so still at chunky soup stage. This is generally the biggest hurdle. After this the other hurdles tend to go over easier. Posting more often will be a huge help because I can guide you daily instead of every week or two. If I don't know what's happening I don't know what to tell you to do next. How big are the slivers? How many of them are in the soup? Once I have an idea of that, I can figure out where to go from here. I need to weigh them still. I tried earlier and they were in crazy mode and wouldn't hold still. They don't seem like they have dropped any weight but I'll get them on the scale when they fall asleep like I meant to do last week.

There were a few yellowish poops that seemed different than Id seen before. Could you get pics perhaps? Soft is fairly normal on soup, but runny is potentially concerning - how much eggshell are you adding per 10oz of soup? It may just be a matter of adding more calcium. So-next step?I need to know sliver size and amount. The next step might be stepping back a bit and adding fewer and/or smaller slivers or it might be to push them in a slightly different way depending on the current size/amount.
