The tubing is very flexible but also very strong. It's also not very expensive. By increasing or decreasing the tension you can alter the decent. I've attached them to the existing ramps and can adjust the decent by raising or lowering the hammies. ciao

Heather, not to get off topic and steal the attention here, but you need more pics of your ferret room! I love the idea.
I hope the tubing works for him, poor little guy.

Well the light is in his eyes again- I think Hunter is feeling more like a ferret now I am going to work on it again today (have today off<3 ) and make more safe fun spots for him to investigate in his house. The living situation is much better with the 143 add on for the others-Boo is staying with my ferrets so now there are 4 in the top two units and Hunter in the bottom unit for ease of cleaning. He pooped once in the litterbox yesterday, but not overnight. He pees everytime in it though so I am thrilled!!

Hunter's handicap accessable litter box and safety ramp cover with safety net upper level. He can walk almost normally with the traction on the surfaces and can get his bottom into the litterbox easier now. He was dragging his feet a lot on the slippery plastic. Hoping this helps his strength....the hydrotherapy swimming is at a "full paddle" so I am expecting a full recovery at this rate my determined little kissy boy- he gives lots of kisses now, he must be happy <3

I am so glad to hear he is doing better! I love his setup-he sure is lucky to have such a caring mom. He sounds happy and I am so glad to know he's swimming well.

Thank you! Those kisses and snuggles keep me going....I went with brown for now....want to make a bunch of sets and eventually let the ladder down so he can snuggle with his friends......he has "sleep overs" and they play in the am and pm but I feel bad when he is alone, but at the same time I don't want to ruin a good thing by having him over do it! Boo is too hyper being a kit, Ollie is ok but a little too active for a full sleep over, Maisey is wonderful with him but she acts funny when separated from Ollie. Sebastian also does well but has improved muscle tone playing with Boo (they bonded nicely) and the vet said he needed to lose weight too.

What an amazing story. You've given this little one a second chance at life. Some might have just put him down, but you persevered and it will definitely be worth it Congrats - give him a hug for me.

I figured a 1 year update, Hunter has gone from rear legs paralyzed to weakness in one leg. He is now able to stand on slippery surfaces, though I keep mats in his cage for traction to help his muscle tone. He lost a lot of muscle not using his legs. It is starting to come back now with the excercise and improvements on his bedroom and climbing toys. Here he is STANDING So proud of the little man

That's terrific!! It's amazing what physio and allowing the body to heal itself will do. Good job little one!

I am grateful for all the ideas everyone offered, he really did as best that I could have hoped, and I owe it to the helpful and nice people on this forum! Thanks everyone for what you do here, large numbers of ferrets are given the means to thrive (not just survive) because of you. >hugs<
