awesome i feel i'm still not good at recognising good poops and bad ones but i at least know what is normal for them... which is a start i guess... as for the 3oz last night i have just checked it. from 7pm to 8.45am they have eaten it all aside from a piece they have hoarded in their pipe. will weigh it later and let you know how much. but as their are still leftovers i will stick to 3oz for a little bit until i'm finding their bowl empty rather than leftovers. i'm just wondering; if i adjust their meal amounts am i meant to be adjusting their menu too or does that not matter so much???

As long as you are sticking to the same ratio of bone in to boneless to organ you should be fine. The meal menu is more for knowing how much you have to buy. If they stick to ~3 oz for a week, then I'd redo the calculations before you do your next purchase.

well it's a long story but basically i was being harassed by someone so i had to deactivate my account to get away from them also i was wondering how i would go about deterring them from using a certain spot as their poop and pee place??? i'm not having much luck... but, at least, it's out in the open and easy to spot and clean...

Generally you don't, you kind of adapt to them. Is it in a corner or in the middle of a room somewhere? One way is putting down a blanket they have slept on in the spot and positive re-enforcement when they go somewhere else.
If it is in a corner, just put a new litterbox there. If not, then try the stuff above (most ferrets won't poop where they sleep).

fair enough, it's in a corner but it's the corner where the door meets the wwall... which means that i keep squishing poop under the door!! grr.. nothing new to report just yet lol

Ouch, yeah that is a pain. Try the blanket trick. Not sure what else to suggest. Can you leave the door open most of the time an use a baby gate. If I have time this weekend maybe I'll record a tour of my ferret room to show you how I've had to adapt to them.

Hello Okami, you haven't updated your thread in quite a few days. Please make sure to post every other day. How are their weights? How is the feeding going? Is Panda still biting badly or has that been improving? If things are going well we can probably proceed towards graduating you as they don't seem to be hesitating in eating what you are giving them.

Hey Jason, sorry I've been non existent.. Bad time on my end lately. Will weigh them tomorrow. Still eating roughly 6oz per day between them, Been playing with them hard every day and their appetite seems to be picking up a bit. guess they weren't getting out enough... Diet same as usual, and they are destroying the bones now so next batch i'm gonna make the chunks bigger which will mean the smallest pieces will be about the size of my first thumb joint. Panda is getting much better with biting, time out works wonders, she is coming along very nicely. I'm feeling really good about this and i think i'm more or less ready for graduation. You've been an amazing teacher ^_^ my girls owe you their health and wellbeing. Shall update with their weights in the morning. toodles!

Ok, to graduate you need to post a full weekly menu and Sherry will have to look it over. You will need to list what you are feeding on each day.

Hi Jason, Sorry I've been absent. Flu far out... Anyway, working on the weekly menu as I'm finding myself needing 48 hours per day and only having half that amount... Busy! anyway, forgot to weigh the girls but I have a day off tomorrow so I will weigh them either soon (before their dinner) or tomorrow. they are still only eating roughly 6oz per day between them. usually no more than 1oz is tossed per meals, but it has actually dropped to about half that now. I know i keep saying this but... I will post their weights and their weekly menu tomorrow

I can only prepare two weeks worth of meals due to lack of freezer space but next year we will be moving and they will likely have meals prepared for months in advance Hopefully that's everything i needed... i'm going to get off my rump and weigh the girls right now before i go to bed (headache!) shall post their weights shortly.
