The worst is TRIPE!!! Now that stinks! It can't touch anything and the smell lingers in your nose for days!

I am really, really lucky my parents are so good with this. They were a bit iffy at the beginning but they are entirely on board now. Ooooh tripe, I hear so much bad about it. I haven't gotten it yet and I"m not sure I want to, haha. I'm having enough stinky-fun with the spleen and kidney. Although I think lamb kidney isn't as bad as this veal kidney I got this time. o__o If I ever manage to get whole rabbit, I'll remember your trick Sherry. :3 I like the smell of the dressed rabbit I get from my store, it's almost... nutty, I want to say. That's their 'wild rabbit', but they had 'domestic rabbit' once that was way larger (pricier!) and didn't smell as good.

As far as tripe goes for ferrets, I honestly don't think it's worth either the smell, nor the hassle trying to get them to eat it!

A ferret's response to tripe is similar to a cat's....feed it to the dog Dog's worship it. That's the meal of the week for Mithrandir. It's an awesome balance of almost all the nutrients that you need to cover. It's absolutely disgusting and the dog will sell his soul for it (gives you an idea as to how disgusting ;D) Normally, he gets ground tripe...it's ground up and cut into blocks....this time it's just sliced up .... bleck ciao

LOL! I feed it to them in a ground mix and they chow down on it! Maybe it;s because it's in a mix they'll eat it? don't know...but yeah the dogs will sell their soul to get at it!

I get a ground mix that has tripe, organ meats and some muscle meat in it, the ferrets will eat that. They won't touch the pure green tripe though (they at least have some taste ;D ;D) ciao
