I thought ours were, too. But they are ferrets

Some are more prone to eating things than others, thanks for the heads up. Thatcher would eat those in a heartbeat.
Bode's one who is too smart to eat toy parts. Thank goodness for that (literally can turn him loose in friend's houses overnight no problem, he's an angel). But Thatcher has eaten everything from stuffing to erasers and will rip toys open if at all possible so I have to really watch it.

Yeah, Murder loves eating random things given the chance. I've caught him eating caulking out of the tub in the bathroom. Luckily their playroom is pretty safe, they really would have to get destructive for a problem to come up- such as getting in the matress or shredding a toy- and I tend to notice these things immediately.

That's wonderful to hear that they're okay. Hopefully it really was just a passing scare. We don't want anymore incidents or tragedies. It's been so sad lately. But thank goodness anyhow! Give those wee ones a pat on the butt for being naughty and a hug for being safe in the end. ;D

just to give everyone a heads up, i had bought this for Molson marshallpet.com/uploads/products/full/0051_bed_bug_play_center.pngI had taken out the toys and plastic mounting bars and he used the lady bug as a bed in his cage. I dont know how it happened, but one day I took him out and found thread from it wrapped around my baby's neck! It was wrapped around so tight it actually left a mark around his neck I threw that thing out so quick!

Thanks for the heads up, if I purchase I will keep it as a "room play" only toy and watch it like a hawk for damage.

Wow, that's scary So glad you found him in time. It simply reinforces that we really need to continually check over all toys for wear. I have cut loose threads of toys before, but will make doubly sure to check again.

when I cut the string off of his neck, it wasn't even attached to the ladybug anymore so I dont know if Molson pulled it out or if it was loose when he got caught in it..he just slept in it so I dont even know how that thread got loose. Molson isnt very on toys other than boxes and plastic bags (which i dont leave in his cage of course!) so I feel prtty safe now lol

'Ferret' bungee toy. Clips onto the cage with an elastic string. Didn't last two days before it was ripped apart. Not always the shape that pictures. I expected a strawberry and got a little animal. Puppy Kong. Figured it's probably similar to ferret kong. The little nubby at the top cracked so I took it away before they had a chance to gnaw off some pieces.
