Also, while getting them eating heart and organs, I need you to post in every couple of days until they are there.

I will get fresh heart today and give it to them tomorrow during play time. I dont want them sick. They are doing so well. How big should a male fixed ferret weigh? Its really hard to get heart and liver here. If I do get it its frozen already. Refreezing it in bags for portion size scares me I dont want make them sick.

All the ones I get are frozen as well Just toss the pack in the fridge and when it's partially defrosted break it up into meal size servings and refreeze. The taurine loss will be negligible As for weights, it varies according to the ferret. My smallest male weighed in at just under 2lbs. My largest at 4 1/2.

K I called around and I will be getting a fresh cows heart, kidneys and liver. It will be less then 24 hrs old. I will try to get it into them one way or another. They eat the mice, anything chicken with bone but the heart they love lamb chops and goat , but wont eat whats good for them.. its like having two three years who wont eat their veggies. Very frustrating. I wont give up. I'll keep trying. I want my babies healthy. I can get taurine pills from vet here they are 250mgs 100 pills for 22.70 I will get that too if it will help keep them well. How much do they need. Kodo is 2.6 lbs and Podo is 3.4 lbs. How big should they be. I will send you photos of them as soon as I find my camera... Thanks again for all your help ...You really do rock.

That's ok! And yes, for now the taurine would be a very good idea. One 500mg cap EACH per day until they are eating enough. And not to worry- you can't over dose them on taurine Their bodies will simply excrete what it can't use. Okay. Take your heart(approx 2oz for each ferret) and puree with enough water to make a soup. Add about 1/2 tsp heavy cream. Warm it slightly and hand feed until they will start taking the soup on their own, then you can start adding some slivers of it, and work up in size/amount until they are eating it plain We'll get the little brats there ;D
