Firstly, thinking of giving raw another go. Got 4 ferrets now, 3 adult jills (not sure of age as rescues) who are all a bit unsure of meat and 1 15 week old hob who will tear up and eat anything I throw at him, especially chicks and mice. The three girls all show a little bit of interest in anything fluffy but not the meat itself. I have just bought a few packs of Prize Choice to try them on to see if I can get them to like it. Has anyone got any views on this food? I would have to always buy packaged products like this rather than proper meat from the butcher as only got a tiny amount of freezer space. Could it be the basis of raw feeding if there were some extras? I got a pack of rabbit, chicken and lamb but can see tripe, beef etc. Secondly, am a bit upset that my account seems to have been deleted as I used to post a lot on here but ended up just reading the forums without signing in. If admin can give it back I would much appreciate it as would like to read the old posts I made instead of re-writing my questions (email, username and p/w etc can be provided). I understand the reason for accounts being deleted but it has annoyed me quite a lot as had all sorts of info on there! Cheers  |

Your old posts are probably still there, if you just register with the same name as you used before, you should be able to find your old posts.
I found that when an account gets deleted the posts don't disappear, and if someone re-registers with that same name it "kind of" associates them with those old posts.

Yes I saw that but 2 months is an extremely small amount of time to give people, made me feel completely unvalued.
I will try the making the same named account again thing and hope, if not I will be a forever browser and just stay active on the other forums.
Still need some info tho on the meat packs I got x

awww. i don't think admins have any control over that though. it is the proboards thing. don't feel so bad. on the old forum the same thing used to happen. I never posted and then i never logged in so i was locked out. i had forgotten my password anyway so i just created another account.

No, it's not proboards. It was my decision. On the old board it was Guili. If I DIDN'T, by now we'd have 2,000 to 2,500 members to have to sort through. I delete on average about 100 inactive accounts a month.
Sorry if it makes you feel unvalued, but it's the only way to keep the list a manageable size.
At least on this one, you don't have to post, just log in sometime in a two month period.

Only grumble I have is that twice I've had to restablish my account and even though I encouraged Giuli to venture into the forum set up and have been with the forum since the beginning; every time I've had to reestablish my logon even using the same name my post tracking still shows me as an adolescent member! That's a proboards thing am sure but I definitely am not adolescent neither in age nor in feeding naturally and it sort of is misleading. But I have enjoyed seeing the forum grow and watch all the converts bloom! So I try to ignore the inaccurate labeling.

The mods can make their own custom titles for each star count, change the star icons themselves if they want and can change the number of posts it takes to obtain whatever level. It really doesn't "mean" anything, there's no need to feel offended.  It's just added functionality forums put it for people to customize if they want. Plenty of forums simply don't. |
