Flicking on the nose is never an option! My babies would hate me if I did that. Time outs are more than enough!

;D I hope no one takes that thing seriously. Someone should call her. I threaten to bite my boys all of the time! I have mouth scruffed Koda before (but never bitten them roflmao!). Let me tell you ferret fur on your tongue is a bit unpleasant! I would not put my mouth over theirs even if biting was an ok form of discipline - I value my tongue thank you! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If I attempted to bite my ferrets' noses....I wouldn't have one left! Yeesh, especially with Riley. If any skin at all is close, it's hers little brat!

I've mouth scruffed too, as a last resort when one of them was doing something. Honestly don't even remember what it was now ;D I can just imagine what the neighbors must have thought if they saw me walking around with a ferret dangling from my mouth(yes- I supported her bottom). It worked ;D

I do mouth scruff kits occasionally the first time or two I clip nails so that I have both hands available...and, yeah, I don't care for the taste of fur, either.

She doesn't seem much of a ferret "lady" if she bites her babies and feeds raisins. I'm new to the ferret thing and I learned this crap within the first week(mostly from lurking on the old site).

Agreed. But you cannot tell people what they will not hear

i read somewhere never to flick any animal on its nose because you can affect their sense of smell which is their main form of recognition. my ferret doesn't listen to "no." i pick him up and yell NO! and he looks from side to side as if i'm not even there. sometimes he gets this defiant look on his face and he stares right at you like: "Pu-leeze lady!! don't yell at me! don't you know who I am!!? Oh my god! Like, don't you KNOW who I AM?!" Hahahahaha this is EXACTLY what mine do if I yell lol!

She seems familiar....how unfortunate that she's a shelter. With those discipline methods she's going to have some "interesting" placements ciao
