So... Two businesses (one with two males and three females, and one with three males and two females ) of ferrets have popped up in Athens Georgia and somewhere else very close to Atlanta or the nearby area...free is never good. To be honest, I'm worried that somebody will snap them up without knowing anything, or somebody with bad intentions will get them. atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/for/3171040363.html And this one atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/for/3171237169.htmlI can't take them, not a single one, but I wish and want for them to find good homes...

If you in the area then you could grab them up and then get them to one of the shelters in your area. I'd be willing to help you with travel for them if you could hold onto them until the 18th. I'll be in Georgia(Atlanta area) then.

I could talk to my mom, but I don't know how happy she would be with 10 ferrets, or even five. Athens is too far away for me, but the one in Atlanta is plausible.... Neither of the adds mentioned cages, which is an issue as I don't have any... The two shelters in my area are pretty packed, but I bet that if I talked to them, they might loan me cages to keep the Atlanta business in.

Can anyone get them to Tallahassee? They will put me over my home limit, but I have someone willing to help foster for me that I trust.
I wonder what condition they are in...

I might be able to get a friend of mine to pick up the Athens ones. I'll contact her.

My sis can help in Tally and I can go to Pensacola, whichever is best. I just took in two strays from the shelters. One is skin and bones, but eatting like a champ. The other had some care for about a week and is in better condition. I've had several people want to adopt, but didn't have a ferret to match their situation. My bonded pair is being picky about being around other ferrets, which I'm not sure why that has developed, and my single is an abuse case.

Jade, it is possible that we could make a train, though I personally couldn't help, unless it was a smaller stretch from the Atlanta ones, as I am a newer driver.
EDIT: my mom sort of shot my idea down. She said that I'm trying to do a good deed, but I'm misdirected and that I shouldn't jump to conclusions that the ferrets might need help finding a home. :/ I can't house them, but I'll ask later about taking part in the potential train.

I don't know that I could come all the way to Tally but I could definitely do Dothan. My friend is a long shot on picking up the Athen's bunch but hopefully she will do it.

Kindness Matters ferret rescue is looking into these. One group was already gone and the other hasn't responded yet.

Cool. I think there may be a rescue in Dothan, but I'm not sure. Closer is always easier to work out.

I hope you guys can figure something out.
If they have cages, I *might* be able to help out if it's still needed later this month. I'll be traveling to ATL from Sarasota, Fl and back around the 28th of August. Could make a pit stop as long as it doesn't deter from the route.
