Hello Everyone,
My two ferrets spend most of their time in their ferret room while I am not home and I'm starting to feel that they are bored. Even on the days that I have them caged to clean the room they are not bouncing with joy anymore when they are finally released. I tend to spend 1 to 2 hours with them nightly during the week. Sometimes I expand their range to the hallway and occasionally my bedroom on weekends (I tend to spend much more time with them on weekends).
I have tunnels on the walls, jingle balls, rattle eggs, a floor tube and dig box but I am looking for something they can entertain themselves with while I am away at work. Any ideas?

maybe rotate the toys in and out? change the room around? put some new scents on their toys. i had read some where to put some toys in a bag with leaves and/grass (as long as the ferrets are flea and tick prevented) over night and let them smell that, or put a dab of lavender or vanilla on toys. maybe throw a paper bag or two in there? my ferrets love those and soda boxes. ya know, the 12/24 can boxes. They love to squeeze through the handles also, one of their favorite 'toys" is an old beer bottle box. I put one of their blankets in there, and my eldest hoards her toys in there and naps in there as well. here are two sites I found. The first one i personally like the most www.ferretcentral.org/faq/part3.html#gameswww.ferret-world.com/ferretenrichment.html
