Taz has been growing...and boy do I mean growing! Taz- Length: 23 + Inchs. Weight: 2.13 1/3 oz's Age: 4-5 months old. I got him about decemeber. A week after he came from the petstore, the owner gave him to me. Guessing age..10-20 weeks. He was small but not soco size. Dirt- Length: 21 inchs weight: 2.7 1/8 ozs Age: 5-6 months old. I got him and his cage mate at the end of december. Thier owner got them back in november. Like seriously...I'm starting to wonder if they came from a new breeding couple back at marshal farms. Or is it because they have been fed raw/kibble/soups since day one and just got the extra nutrients compaired the the other rescues... ;D ;D ;D This is my big boi who has out matched his companion. oh and did I mention he lightened up? He's a sable!!! do you think he looks like a good score for companion & Sable?

Kenai is maybe 5 - 6 months old now. He is 3 pounds. He outgrew Koda within a few months. He's a Marshalls. I heard a rumor that they are starting to breed for larger ferrets. Maybe it's true....

SoCo is marshalls and in the almost 2 weeks ive had him, he has at least doubled in size... + if you look at his features they are biiig, his head is giant and so are his feet (this was all especially true when i first brougt him home) Tomorrow he will be 3 months and although im sure its not impossible, id be mighty amazed if he got as big as Taz in the next month.

Yeah Kenai like doubled in size every week it seemed like! And his paws as a kit were HUGE! ;D He seems to have Mostly grown into them. He is a big guy with a bit of a Eurpoean Ferret look to him almost. I wonder if they imported some new breeders from Eurpoe? He just has more of that stockier look with big paws and a big head. Plus he is fat FAT FAT and his winter coat is sooo ling and luxurious making him look even bigger. Haha But he is a big boy. He dwarfs Koda now! Koda is a greyhound ferret. All sleek muscle, and he's a decent sized ferret at roughly 2.5 lb. But Kenai is a monster next to him. He only reason he doesn't weigh more than 3 lb IMO is because fat weighs less than muscle and Kenai is NO muscle and ALL fat! Hehe

Haha, that's hilarious Katt. Trixie was like that as a kit, but she slmed down after she hit a year. Now she's still more bulldog type, but she is very lean and muscular.

lol i think SoCo might have a little somethin different too him, his head is wider than Mojitos and Kahlua's heads and he has those elf ears. THEY ARE POINTY!! And no lie, every morning when I come into the fert room, he is significantly bigger than the previous night

If his head is wider and with his coloring Waardenbergs is possible. Is he deaf by chance or does he seem mentally...slow? He is probably fine but I know WB is more common with the exotic colors and one of the signs is a wider, flatter skull wih wider set eyes. Kind of like Downs. The head shapes can vary but skull deformations is very common for WB ferrets. Not that a diff shaped head means he has WB it could be anything, from a congenital defect or just different genetics and he is totally normal otherwise. I just know "defects and disorders" are more common in the exotic colored ferrets and he is def an exotic.

He isnt slow and doesnt seem deaf because he will look at me most of the time when I call his name and if you make noises while hes sleeping his ears come to attention. Honestly I dont think its deformedly wider I think its just wider by genetics. Ill try and get some good face pics of him today

I know Kenai's face is much more round than Koda's. While Koda's face has more of your typical pointed ferret look, Kenai has more of the rounded, bear-like, European ferret look. Is that maybe what you mean by wider?
