She looks slender, but good to me.

Nissa was considerably thinner than that when we started switching and she did really well. She's put on quite a bit too. I should think your little one would be fine.

She doesn't look particularly thin to me. My wee girlies are all quite slim and trim. They won't be putting on any weight on until late Aug/Sept. Ferrets often look rather slim almost gaunt during the summer. ciao

That's a relief. I guess I was just being an overprotective ferrant ;D . Wilma is much more "solid" and Socks's change from her winter chub was so dramitic this year I have been concerned. If she looks ok to others here then I feel a LOT better. As soon as I have a source of bone meal or have a large enough stockpile of ground eggshell I'll be applying for a mentor.

I would suggest to possibly start keeping a weight chart and photo chart. It does great the next time you feel terrified about a little one's seasonal weight loss If I can get her to stand still long enough I will show you my wee Lady Morgain, she's quite slender ciao

I agree with Sherry. My little girl, Xuxu, was like that too. I gave myself ulcers worrying about her even when I knew she was healthy. She even won second place in the tiniest ferret contest and one of the shows.

Lol Heather, the pics above were after about 10 minutes of chasing her around with the camera. I think she started to think it was a game because towards the end she was dooking and wardancing at me ;D . I eventually got the idea to put her ontop of the digbox to contain her scampering .
