I was wondering if any of you supplemented the diet of the jills that you're going to breed. Either through diet specifically or by some type of vit supplement? ciao

I give my pregnant and nursing jills an eighth of a tsp of Vionate daily, mixed with a small amount of baby meat/goat milk. They also get a tsp of liver daily from the time they're bred until the kits are weaned.

This is Vionate vitamin and mineral powder? Do you order online or do you get this locally? I noticed I can order this online through Amazon, though I'm not sure I can bring it up here. It's one of the issues I've been running into with some of the supplements that Bev is familiar with in the UK. Thank you for responding, it's really appreciated ciao

I get the Vionate online, as I can't find it locally. I've been using it for many years, as it was recommended by my first vet for my pregnant and nursing Basenjis.

It seemingly is a US product and they won't send it across the border, so I'm back to square one trying to find a decent supplement on this side . This is really quite frustrating ciao

FYI Canadian members- if you need something shipped to you from a store that does not sell or ship to Canada, I will gladly reship to you for the actual cost of shipping- no fee. It's more expensive than if you bought it in the US, but cheaper than being gouged on shipping. (happens a lot on ebay!) I don't think ferret nations and other large items are logistically doable, but small things I can definitely do.
I used to date someone from Ontario, and his mom would have me ship her stuff all the time that she won on ebay that people were gouging for shipping on, or just would not ship to Canada. I also bought stuff in stores for her she couldn't get up there all the time.
I can only get to a post office on Saturdays due to working typical 8-5 shift though.
