i had some problems getting my ferrets to eat larger whole prey like guinea pig but just hung one up fro the ceiling and they LOVE it haha! sorry if there is another thread with anything like this im new to the forum but i just thought i'd let you know in case you wanted to give it a try!

It works with plain raw too. I couldn't get my kids to transition into whole chicken wings (they were only eating pre-cut chunks)... then I hung it from the cage...

Actually if I remember correctly, I think I remember you showed me that picture back when I was on the ferret.com forums, and that picture was what first got me interested in raw feeding ;D

Some use those pear-shaped metal shower curtain hooks. I sometimes use a Critter Ka-Bob, one of those skewers meant for hanging up fruits and veggies for rabbits

I love this idea, though the thought of using metal hooks or wires worries me. I'm afraid they'll bite down on the metal and mistake it for bone material and damage their teeth!
Care to relieve this worry?

What about the plastic shower hooks ? Would they work better for teeth?

I wouldn't worry about it hurting them. They really are bright little animals And anyway- they tend to tear pieces off for the most part.
