You're making progress. It's not going to appear to be much to begin with, I'm thinking that when he finally gets this, he will go for it. Yes, there are days when you're going to feel that you're making progress and then an hour later...nothing...in fact probably from the same bowl. It's the frustrating end of switching. Some just dive in and never look back, others are like my Yuri. We're still working on it ;D but he's a good boy. ciao I hope so. He still only once or twice a day (sometimes never) licks it off my finger of his own accord. Almost as if he can't decide whether it's good or not, or more fun to be stubborn than acquiescent. ;D But good heavens, he is SO CUTE. One of those little ones that could get away with murder. I am going to go upload the pictures my MIL took. Some are a doozy!

;D ;D ;D ;D That's his problem, he's so cute he's charming his way out of eating his dinner . How often do you offer him his soupies? I found that sometimes sitting down with the brat on the floor with a bowl of soupy and making a game of it works really well. Keep it light. We have a tendency to put a lot of weight on doing things in a certain manner. Ferrets are all about having fun...have some fun with your little heart fuzz ciao

Exactly ;D We humans have forgotten about fun things....it takes our wee fuzzies to teach us how to have fun and take life less seriously ciao

Yeah I found that more frequent short attempts worked out better than longer less frequent attempts. Weekends are great because no work and no school. I have the bowl of soup (or whatever were working on) in the living room with a towel and a spoon. Every 30 minutes I try to feed some during playtime.

Ferrets are all about having fun...have some fun with your little heart fuzz ciao He hasn't been charming his way out of eating his dinner. I'm just saying he's cute when he TRIES. I'm a stern fuzz-mommy at making sure that soup gets in his tummy! No matter how difficult he's determined to be. He's actually pretty good about not squirming, but he makes a fuss by spitting the soup all over me, my hands, and his fur. What do you mean by we have a tendency to put a lot of weight on? On the fuzzies? ;D He's a toothpick and far too bony for my comfort so that would not be disadvantage... I have been feeding him upwards of 3-4 times per day. He has been getting one ice-cube of soup warmed in the container in a sink of warm water, daily. ETA: Also, feedings don't usually last more than 5 minutes, it's more about how much I can get in him rather than for how long... I hope that's right.
