Spring Nationals of course!!!! I'm super excited that it's like a weekend away. I was going to take a few different boys. But in the end, The final count is just Tazz the spaz, And Dirt MC Girt. Tazz a Sabbled now!!! In like two weeks, The under coat went into this extremely Pretty Golden brown. He's still fluffy and a sweet heart. I made a kitten sling for the show. lol I'm starting to think that his calm nature will end up being a Monster #2. A new role model for others..Perhaps just perhaps he will learn to become more of a love bug. He's close but not there yet. Dirt's just being a but hole. He really is a hand full of laughing pudge. And Boy do I like these smileys.

I really wish I could go. *pouts* I'm hoping to go to the New Castle show, but I'm having bad luck finding a ride near me. I live in GA, so the shows are quite far for me.

I'm going cant wait!! Going to the banquet too, as Hailey is up for Black Sable FOTY. I'm showing Hailey in Black Sable, Passport, and Late Alter. What sucks is her hair from her spay isn't all the way grown in lol they are not supposed to take off points for that, still I wish she had her hair in! And I'm showing Blitzen in Companion and shelter. This is Blitzens first show, He is going through such a heavy coat change right now, so I dunno how he'll do... so we'll see. Plus its his first show. My Dakota is way too old, but she's going along for the ride. Can't leave her by herself

I believe, now I don't know for sure, but your little marshals dudes can be shown under companion ferret. I don't know that for sure but I'm sure that one of the ladies who shows their fuzzs can tell you if that's correct. I know that you can show farm ferrets but I'm not sure of the category....companion is what comes to my mind ciao

ALL ferrets are welcome at the shows regardless if they're from a pet store or private breeder!! so, if you can make it to a show, i strongly suggest you do so!
not only will you possibly win some ribbons & a trophy, you'll be able to see a ton of gorgeous ferrets, meet some breeders, LEARN a TON of stuff, meet some of the people you 'know' from being on various forums online and there's always a ton of vendors selling lots of stuff. yeah, showing is some bit of work - it's well worth it though cuz there are so many benefits!!
'companion' class is for ferrets who've been fixed before age 12 weeks - that's most of the pet store kids.
'alter' class is for ferrets who've been fixed after age 12 weeks - that's most of the ferrets from private breeders.
those are title classes - beside those (and two more just for private bred ferrets) there are a ton of 'specialty' classes. most are based on color pattern and there's also one for shelter kids (which can be pet store or private bred) and 'passport' which is for private bred w/foreign bloodlines. and there's usually a 'seniors' class as well.

www.ncferretclub.com/ enter the site (left side of page) and then click on the link about the show (right side of second page) and there's a link to download the show packet.
