Give her a week with the RR, then start using the cream and see what happens! Don't forget- she IS going to scruff him, and likely drag him all over the place. He IS going to whimper, moan, and complain about it. As long as he's just staying limp and letting her do it, they *should* be ok. If, on the other hand, he is running, hiding, and shaking, and NOT coming back out after a bit, he's truly frightened. If she's grabbing him, and shaking the h*ll out of him, she simply wants him gone, and you'll have more work cut out for you. Generally, if you can tolerate the screaming, etc., sooner or later they learn to at least tolerate each other, if not actually get along. Also, you can try ONLY treating when they are out together. Hopefully, she'll associate him being out with HER getting treats.

He needs to allow her to scruff him, drag him off to her hidey and get his ears cleaned. Momma fert stuff. She may thump him a bit, just to remind him, she's boss. He will squeek, and cry, but she shouldn't terrorize him. If she does, she wants him gone. If she scares him into pooping himself or draws blood then you're going to have to resort to something else. ciao

He's adorable. I love babies. My current ferret will be 8 months at the end of march. I don't want my baby to grow up!

Thank you everyone. I know she has to get all that 'I'm the alpha/moma here!' stuff out of the way but since his reaction has always been to stiffen up, tremble and scream while she (unprovokingly) grabs him and shakes him like a terrier with a rat I've been really nervouse about trying to let her stash him. Also, the way he cries just shatters me. IF he manages to get away he runs between my feet shaking and moaning but usually i break it up first. I think she might have taken some fur with her the last time she got a hold of him. I mean.. if she was to seriously injure/kill him I dont know how I would forgive myself for letting it happen. When Mojito came home she was instantly in love, she was the same with both Jack Daniels (R.I.P) and Captain Morgan. She gets a little rough with our Chi, Tequila, on occassion but nothing like this. I have seen her do this with another kit who belonged to a friend of mine and with my best friends minescule sprite aswell, i just dont bring them over to my one friends house and since Captain Morgan lives with my best friend and her tiny sprite, I keep the sprite and Kahlua seprate when they visit. Last night I tried to bathe everyone together again, she was fine for the entire bath and even let him rest his head on her back but when they started drying off she went right back to Ms. Nasty pants. The strange thing is, when SoCo managed to writhe out of her grip and came running to me she didnt chase him- instead she turned, scruffed Mojito (who had come up to see what SoCo was screaming about) and shook him!! I was so suprised Im still practically speachless about it.
Another note is after she 'attacks' him (for lack of a better word) it takes a while before he stops shaking and complaining but even after hes settled down he gets this distant look in his eyes and gets pretty lethargic, this used to last the rest of the night but the bigger he gets the sooner I am able to knock him out of it with the temptation of various toys.
Ive heard of these methods but havent tried them for the reasons in perenthesis: Ferretvite on both noses to initiate licking (should I wait to do this until SoCo is bigger? If she bites him anyway, wont this be treating her for biting him?) ferretvite on the back of SoCo's neck so Kahlua will lick instead of bite (wont this be like... treating her for biting him?) Bitter apple on the back of SoCo's neck (Same general idea as the goo but I have it on hand in my pantry.. however, doesnt it say on the bottle NOT to apply directly to an animal?)
Im going to take them out now and bring the ferretvite with me to see if it can hold her attention
