Hey everyone, I live in San Antonio, TX and am looking to adopt a baby ferret, although i'm not for getting it at one of the local pet stores; ie- petco, petsmart, etc. I was directed here and told that i'd be directed to a shelter in my area ![:)](http://www.holisticferretforum.com/images/Ferret_Smilies/smile.GIF) please help!

Hi Rachell! Hopefully someone from that area will be along shortly ![:)](http://www.holisticferretforum.com/images/Ferret_Smilies/smile.GIF) In the interim, here's a couple links for you to check out ![:)](http://www.holisticferretforum.com/images/Ferret_Smilies/smile.GIF) Not sure how active they may be, but these guys might be able to give you some leads. Have you also considered something like craig's list? www.saferrets.org/www.texasferret.org/shelter.shtml

You can also contact animal control and see if they ever get ferrets in.
