Well, I wasn't sure...I know for a fact the most RIDICULOUS things require a import paper certification. Like, I work for a textile mill. one of our plants are in CAN. well...needless to say, i have alot of experience with import papers. Because we write out a ridiculous amount of it just to transport a bundle of fabric across the border! Most of the time, those same fabric pieces return straight to us (most of it is a dye job)

There is a fairly good amount of free movement of pets between the two countries. Now, don't import a ferret from overseas and land it in the US and then transport it up to Canada...they seem to get a little upset about that ciao

I know that I never got the papers for their rabies shots from their previous owners unfortunately, but I could always bring them for shots again if anyone was interested. What is the rescue railway? I might know but I'm not sure if it's what I'm thinking of. Either way if anyone would be interested, I'd do what it takes to get them to a good home.

I believe that Jennifer actually has a contact email or number for them. They're a group of very caring volunteers who mobilise to get a rescued pet from where they are to where they need to go to get to their forever home. I don't know if we ever transferred the information from the previous site or not. I know that we made use of their services to get pets from New Orleans after Katrina. I had a friend who was working dog rescue at the time. I believe they were also contacted during the DMK rescues to get the wee ones to their destinations in around the US and up to Canada ciao

If you contact the railroad group let me know the details and maybe I can approach my hubby about one. Not sure I'm up for another senior right now as Freddy will be consuming my vet budget but Eleanor or Ozzy would fit in nicely around here.

If anyone has a number or email to reach them, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've looked it up but all the websites were either no longer online, or for cats and dogs. I'd be happy knowing someone from this forum would have them, if anyone would like to take one or three in.

My dad works in and out of the states and told me it would be difficult to carry them over. We might be keeping them after all though, because Eleanor and Harley are my brothers favorites he decided he wanted them and we set them up in a huge cage on their own and he's going to be in charge of cleaning that cage so it's a lot less for me. And now there's no fights between Yoshi and them. We're going to see if he actually does continue caring for them but I think he might.
