Ive read that they wont eat meat if it goes bad but I left it sat evening-sunday night and he still hadn't eatten it, I was worried it had gone bad so I got rid of it. I gave him hunks of breast (it was the only thing that was defrosted) last night in soupie. I will try more bone in meats tonight

They won't as a rule. A ferret would have to be basically starving to eat bad meat. Dried is a different story

Hi I start mine off on a raw meat mush at the age of three weeks ( still suckling from mum too ) they get the raw meat mush four times a day ( consistency of soup ) 4 weeks of age its a thick paste ( less water ) five weeks of age ground meat six weeks of age whole carcase ( as in a rabbit complete with fur bone and organs then I begin the mix up of diet whole prey chunks of meat whole prey chunks of meat ( whole prey could be rabbit pigeon chicken duck day old chicks what ever is in season or available ) but its the basic adult diet only difference being kits get three meals a day to the age of 14 weeks then dropped down to two meals a day until 8-10 months of age( depending on size and maturity ) then on to the one main meal per day the reason I begin at three weeks is simply mums calcium levels have hit a 0 after three weeks of feeding ( even though she is being supplemented through out ) as she passes most if not all on to her kits via milk this way because the kits receive the mush they tend to only rely on mum for one/two night feeds and give her body a chance to bounce back and replenish itself ( normally by 8 weeks you cannot even tell she is there mother no sagging teats and a tight washboard tummy lol ) plus by 3 weeks of age she has had enough lol all those pins for teeth and she loves the leftover mush too lol take care bye for now crazy lady

Pig to muck is THE way to put it! I didn't even give any kibble when I brought home Siren. I didnt want to set back Vixen. And I think she has taught Vixen to eat big whole pieces of raw easily. She even took a whole f/t mouse the first time no problem! I think the third or fourth day after bringing her home! Crazy girl she is!
