Hey All! My name's Virag, though I tend to go by "V", I'm the sole human in a zoo...err, well, my place. I'm in Ontario, Canada I only have one ferret, at the moment. Her name is Luna, she's sable, and I estimate her Bday being November 2006. I adopted her two years ago from someone who was moving and could no longer handle her.... She has 4 dog siblings (one's a foster), cats, rabbits, hedgehog, a red ear slider (turtle) and some birds. She tends to enjoy harassing the dogs and cats, who occasionally enjoy the game, but moreoften than not tend to run away from her. She tends to not be overly concerned with the budgies though... She is definitely the focus of entertainment when I have company over. Everyone just loves her! I decided I needed to be part of a natural/holistic ferret community as I have much to learn in non-dog/cat related creatures.. Particularly diets. I did pull her off of Iams instantly, but only managed to go so far as canned cat food (Wellness primarily) but I try to pick highest protein content ones - she turns her nose up at dry food... and forget raw (My dogs are on raw exclusively, my cats alternate between that and canned). Luna won't have any of it... I could probably rant on a while longer, but I think I'll stop while I'm ahead.... Hello to all!

Hi, and welcome to the forum Please feel free to browse, ask question, join conversations, etc. In particular, you will find the nutritional section helpful with switching her over. And never fear- we can help stubborn fuzzes You can apply for a one on one mentor for a diet switch if you like, and also start posting in the various sections for any questions you may have in the interim. Since she already eats a wet food, that's the perfect intro to use for the raw

Hi and welcome on board I seem to be late tonight. Lovely pics, I love the pic with the fuzz and the kitty checking out the cage from the outside ;D Please feel free to prowl the site, check out the threads, post questions and get involved. You may want to check out the various threads in the nutritional section or browse through the threads in the mentoring section, though you can't post to these threads (they're personal switching threads for the students) you can get some really decent switching ideas that may help you with your little Luna. I hope that we will be seeing more of you and your little one ciao
