Looks like its coming along well. Like how you painted it a natural green,it will just blend in with the rest of the trees ,grass...etc.

The last few weekends and mornings, and me out in the dark with a torch light, we have got a lot done, most of the mesh is up. The concrete floor will be done tomorrow and we will leave them a bit of dirt area to play in. I will make outdoor blinds this weekend to cover the meshed area to keep it dry and warm. Winter is coming fast, mornings are about 50 now. We have decided against the "safe entry doorway", for looks etc in my back yard.. Now we are going to put a barrier up inside the gateway. So I can open the gate, and step over the barrier to go inside and keep the kids in. I will just lock the kids in the cage while I tend to the birds in the next room. It is starting to look like a home now. Hopefully the kids can start packing their blankies, hammocks and jammies and be ready for the removalist truck on Sunday morning, (that was a joke by my work mate today, made me giggle). This is a pull up wall section my husband made for them, it can go up to any angle to cater for the weather on the day. The roll up blinds will go above it, and in a few weeks I will have blinds all around the pen. (Yes the wall needs a wash too) This side of the pen gets the nice warm morning sun, so it will make it nicer on frosty winter mornings. Inside view of the bedding cage area, looking cosy. I will put hammocks on top of the cage as well, so they can enjoy the warm sun. Even in summer the morning sun is nice. They will get their Vit D every morning. Starting to put the mesh on the common inside door, it has mesh on both sides of the door and the common wall, so ferret or bird can not get caught in the wide heavy chain mesh that was on it before. Putting the mesh on the aviary wall Most of the mesh is up and just a few things to do. I need the wire mesh from the ferrets run cage to finish off when they move out of it. The gap above the door will be welded up as well. Every ferret manor needs a feature wall, the last section waiting for mesh. Their pipe will go around just under the roof to close the gap from the wall to the roof

Hi everyone, yes we moved into our new home this weekend, and we LOVE it so much. We are having soo much fun with all this space to play in. We had to have lessons how to get down from the 2nd floor cause we went up the pipe to get here, then we could not work out how to get down till our ferant showed us that we just go back down the pipe, I knew that, lol. There is still more toys and pipe to go up for us to play in, and more shelves and bedding to go in too. We also still need the blinds to be finished and installed. We are getting a brand new custom made bed for us to keep warm in winter, ooo it sounds real cosy. The birds are moving in next door soon, they just need to get branches & feeders & stuff put in there. Merlin & Buffy helping me to hang up a hammock on the cage top, and Ozzie inside checking it out "I am not fat, I am just beautiful, well Ok then, but winter is coming" "Oh no, I am in so much trouble, look at all the dirt in our new inground pool" Buffy saying hello and showing off the pipe to go up to the 2nd floor "Look at my dirty nose", Merlin on the safe barrier wall "Oh goody, our very own rice box, I am in heaven here" Bindi enjoying a nice breakfast in the fresh air, after they splashed water everywhere they made ferret paw prints all over the bedding Mmmm breakfast, yummy. Thank you Aunty Kattrina for our toys, we love playing with them Total cost for the ferret pen, bird aviary, outdoor blinds and storage shed = $420
