I wanted something to help them climb, but haven't found a good way to anchor the tube so it doesn't sag or tear. They do like it though!

Great job,looks like they love it ;D I saw the same thing online and hope to make one. Did you use the Marshall brand tube or is it something stronger?

Those are some happy fuzzies!
Maybe try some belts from the Salvation Army to secure the tubes. That way you can reposition them and you don't have to pierce the tube to secure them. And it's cheaper. Put the belts in a cross or figure-eight pattern around the tube-ladder instead of a diagonal pattern. It's more secure.
