The pet store my friend works at is closing, and everything is marked down. So I stopped by there today hoping to pick up a second litter box. They were out of the kind of litter box I wanted but small animal items were 50% off and cat items were 30% off, so I ended up leaving with a 30lb bag of Yesterday's news, a hammock, a bird enrichment toy and a cat enrichment toy. Total was $33. Nice! I also stopped at another pet store between work and class and they were raffling off a bunch of items; you got a raffle ticket for each purchase made. So I bought another hammock and an Octoplay and put in my tickets for an outdoor small animal play pen and a large bird cage which I think could be converted to a ferret cage if I added ramps and platforms and covered the bottom. (And if that doesn't work I'd sell it on Craigslist) So I just wanted to put this here because I'm excited about my ferretswag!

I wish I could find sales on cat toys. Its like a 2 bucks for a crinkle ball. Crazy I am not paying 6 bucks for three feathers and a plastic stick. lol but I do because the fuzz love cat teasers.

Yeah, I feel like I'll regret not stocking up on MORE stuff...but there wasn't much else I could have used other than litter. Just lots of toys. Also, my friend's manager knew I'm planning on getting ferrets so she set aside a couple of toys and a harness for me. The harness is the kind that is a harness/leash combined and really thin though, not 100% sure I'll use it.

Nice buys! My fav place is goodwill. I found a nice big cat box (almost fills the entire side of the FN) for $1.50! My kids love it and it stays clean much better (I can actually forget to scoop and not have accidents)

I will check our local goodwills, salvation army's, etc next. I've heard that's also a good place to look for blankets for bedding too.

Just found out a friend has a rabbit cage (plastic tray bottom, not a wood hutch) that I can have to use as a hospital cage...FO FREE.
