I read about a game for cats where you put a ping pong ball and the cat in the (empty) tub and supposedly the cat goes nuts chasing and batting the ball. Thought I'd put it up here, because if it would work for a cat, why not a ferret?

Only if the ferret loves balls - my girl Allie does, but my boys dont really play with them.

I've got a couple who really enjoy playing with balls, but one prefers to just push them about the room with their nose. The other likes jingle balls she can pick up, take to the top of the stairs, push it through the tube, and chase it all the way down before starting again ;D In the tub, I don't think they'd bother. They'd be too interested in how to get out. What you CAN do is get a container, fill it 2/3 of the way with water, and put a bunch of toys in there for the ferret to fish out. I also float bottle caps with oil on the surface of the water, just for fun ;D Oh- and make sure to have lots of towels under and around the container!!!

Marley LOVES that game ;D Hard plastic teething rings and those plastic shapes that kids sort into containers are his favorites to stash
